Christ Community U.M.The Mission Team of Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, Butler Township, will leave Friday for a two-week working trip in Vancleave, Miss. Team members will continue to work on homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina.The congregation is invited to a Thankfulness Breakfast at 9:45 a.m. Sunday in Oz Hall. Community LifeThe youth group of Community Life Church, McQuistion Elementary School, is collecting teddy bears and other stuffed animals to donate to children in the hospital. The next youth group meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Butler YMCA.A women's Christmas party open house will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Geibel home. Attendees should take a $5 to $10 wrapped gift to exchange.The Dec. 2 Cabela's outing for the men will depart at 8:30 a.m. form the Target parking lot in Cranberry Township. St. Mark's Evangelical LutheranSt. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., will sponsor a float, "While Shepherds Watch Their Flocks By Night," in the Spirit of Christmas Parade Friday. Trinity PresbyPaul Cashdollar will be the guest speaker at the Sunday service of Trinity Presbyterian Church, 107 Staley Ave., Butler Township.A soup and sandwich supper will be held at 6 p.m. Dec. 2 in Fellowship Hall. Tickets may be purchased after services or by calling the church office from 9 a.m. to noon. Cost is $4.The youth will be shopping Dec. 10 for the Mars Home for Youth. Copies of the home's wish list are available in the Narthex for members who wish to contribute unwrapped gifts. Monetary donations are also being accepted. All donations are due to the church office by Dec. 10.The sign-up sheet for Hearts & Hands Ministry for 2007 is on the table in the narthex.Decorating the church for the Advent season will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 2.

West Sunbury U.P.West Sunbury United Presbyterian Church, 215 E. Church St., West Sunbury, will celebrate the sacrament of baptism during the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service.Immediately following the service, the Session of the church will provide lunch for baptismal families and new members united with the church on Nov. 19. Elders should take a covered dish to share.
