Abba Christian Center

Abba Christian Center, 320 N. Main St., Slippery Rock, will have a 6 p.m. Saturday miracle healing service and 10:30 a.m.- to-noon Sunday worship service.

PRESBYTERIAN

Concord Presbyterian Church, 673 Hooker Road, West Sunbury, will have a 9:30 a.m. Sunday traditional worship service followed by a memorial service and butterfly release.

The ladies spring banquet is 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the church.

Choir practice is 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

A combined worship service with North Washington will be at 9:30 a.m. May 26 to award and recognize those receiving scholarships.

Both Concord and North Washington churches will have combined 9:30 a.m. Sunday worship services at Concord during June.

Covenant PRESBYTERIAN

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., will have the final Adult Seekers Sunday school class of the season at 9:45 a.m. Sunday.

FAITH U.P.

Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main St., has a session meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The AA group meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

WW meets at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday, at 10 a.m. May 23 and at 8:30 a.m. May 25.

First Baptist

First Baptist Christian School, a ministry of First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., has kindergarten graduation at 7 p.m. Friday in the church auditorium.

Sunday’s service schedule begins with 9:45 a.m. Sunday school classes followed by an 11 a.m. worship service, a luncheon and a 1:15 p.m. worship service.

First English Lutheran

Storage work day at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., is at 10 a.m. Saturday. It will include cleaning and reorganizing the storage spaces in the church. Representatives are needed from the community dinners, social hour, funeral dinners, event planners, education and any others connected with items stored.

Sunday school is at 9:10 a.m. followed by a 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., operates Grace’s Closet, a free clothing bank open to the public, from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. No proof of income is required.

Communion will be celebrated at the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

The women’s spring banquet begins at 5 p.m. Sunday. A tureen dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m., followed by a guest speaker from the Maridon Museum. Take a favorite dish to share. Drinks and tableware will be provided.

Members of Grace @ Calvary will lead worship at 11 a.m. Monday and Tuesday at LIFE Butler County, 231 W. Diamond St., with the adult day program participants. Volunteers should meet at 10:40 a.m. each day at the church.

Graceway

GraceWay meets at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

Don Horstman and Michelle Huff will provide the music at the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

Hill UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The garden club of Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., meets at 4 p.m. Thursday. Volunteers should take rakes, shovels and wheelbarrows.

The vocal choir rehearses at 6:45 p.m. Thursday.

The yarn group meets at noon Sunday in the hall lounge.

Mount Chestnut PRESBYTERIAN

The pie festival at Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church, 727 W. Old Route 422, is at 7 p.m. Saturday.

The grow group for grades 1 through 6 meets at 11 a.m. Sunday. The youth group meets at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

The food cupboard opens at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Starting May 26 and continuing every Sunday through the summer, there will be one 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

The church is accepting preschool registration for Mt. Chestnut Christian Preschool for the 2019-20 school year. Scholarships are available. Both registration and scholarship forms are available at www.mtchestnutchurch.com.

Old Union PRESBYTERIAN

Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, has its second annual car show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 1. A sign-up sheet for food donations is available.

The Strawberry Festival is 4 to 7 p.m. June 8. The church needs strawberry pickers to meet at the church at 8:30 a.m. June 7. Volunteers are needed to clean strawberries and set up starting at 9 a.m. June 8.

ORCHARD HILL BUTLER COUNTY

Orchard Hill Butler County meets at 107 Staley Ave.

Orchard Hill will have a family picnic dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Masonic Shelter in Alameda Park, 182 Alameda Park Road. Register by emailing Brady Randall at brandall@orchardhillchurch.com.

SAINT ANDREWS

UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., will have a brief congregational meeting to elect new officers immediately after the Sunday worship service.

Evening Bible study begins at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the church library and will continue through June.

May’s First Sunday Mission Offering will go to the local Soroptimists to help fund A Place to Lay My Head. This mission provides beds, linens and pillows to needy families in the Butler area.

Springdale

Lutheran

Springdale Lutheran Church, 1061 Mahood Road, West Sunbury, welcomes Pastor Dennis Protzman Sunday.

An appreciation dinner will be Saturday.

St. John’s Lutheran

St. John’s Lutheran Church of Connoquenessing, 100 Main St., will celebrate Communion during the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service.

The church council meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Starting May 26, the Sunday worship service start time changes to 10:30 a.m. for the summer.

St. Luke’s Lutheran

St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, will have a recognition of the stained-glass windows and organ at both services Sunday.

Sunday school will celebrate Funday Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in Centennial Hall.

The sewing ministry meets 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 23 in the Fellowship Hall.

St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran

St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., has a 6 p.m. Saturday worship service and 8 and 10:15 a.m. Sunday worship services. Children’s Church is 10:15 a.m.

Sunday school for all ages is at 9 a.m. Confirmation is 4:30 p.m. Sunday. The youth group Chopped Challenge is 6 p.m. Sunday.

The senior Christian luncheon is noon Wednesday.

Trinity Lutheran

Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, has contemporary worship at all services this weekend, as well as healing services.

Out to Lunch will be at Fortune Star Restaurant, 305 Butler Commons, after the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service.

The church council meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The mutual ministry meets after the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service.

Sunday is the last day of Sunday school.
