Catholic Charities to sponsor virtual mental health forum
Catholic Charities of Pittsburgh and its partners will sponsor a free virtual mental health forum for those concerned about their own mental health and that of others.
Mental Health Awareness and Support Through Post-Pandemic Stress will be conducted via Zoom from 8 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 19.
A recording of the event will be available the next day on the sponsors’ websites.
Presentations will include trends in mental health in adults during the coronavirus pandemic, mental health issues facing children after the pandemic, suicide-related issues facing adults and children and information on grief and mental health support groups.
Those interested in attending the online forum can visit bit.ly/CCPGHmentalhealth.
As a follow-up to the event, Bishop David Zubik of the Diocese of Pittsburgh will celebrate a Mass in which those who have died from suicide will be remembered and prayers offered for survivors.
