Wednesday — Joseph McKain reported that someone overnight entered a pickup truck at his Center Avenue home, and stole the vehicle's inspection sticker.Midnight May 15 — Joshua Norris, 23, of Butler was arrested for allegedly punching and kicking his girlfriend in a vehicle parked at the East Jefferson Street parking lot. Norris is charged with simple assault and criminal mischief.10:43 a.m. May 13 — Michael J. Dittmer, 29, of Prospect is accused of approaching a woman near Kirk Road and offering her money in exchange for sexual acts. Police said Dittmer is charged with solicitation for prostitution and disorderly conduct.Dittmer, who was driving a red pickup, is a suspect in several other similar incidents, according to police. Anyone else he may have approached should call police at 724-287-7743.
Wednesday — Two sets of custom-made golf clubs, several chainsaws, weed trimmers and other yard tools were stolen between May 1 and 19 from the garage and basement of a Ralston Avenue home in Lyndora.1:58 p.m. Tuesday — Christopher Spears, 51, of Butler was arrested after he was allegedly caught shoplifting 13 DVDs at the Butler Commons Wal-Mart. Spears was arraigned for retail theft, and placed in the Butler CountyPrison on $5,000 bond.12:17 a.m. Monday — Three men are accused of assaulting another man during an altercation in front of a Bessemer Avenue apartment building.William Fox, 24, of Butler was treated at Butler Memorial for unspecified injuries in the assault.Police said Eric L. Bailey, 25, and Daniel M. Gould, 22, both of Butler are charged with simple assault in the case. Charges are also pending against a third man, who police did not identify.3:07 p.m. Sunday — A blue and silver, 1998 Chevrolet Silverado pickup was stolen between 11 p.m. Saturday and 5:30 a.m. Sunday from a West Metzger Avenue home. The vehicle, equipped with an extended cab and short bed, has Pennsylvania license plate YMV3271.
3:30 p.m. Wednesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Danielle Bailey, 39, of Karns City and a pickup truck driven by Tracy Jo Geibel, 26, of Chicora collided at Routes 38 and 138 in Washington Township. Police said Bailey was cited for a stop sign violation.Wednesday — Seven rolls of copper wires were reported stolen from the Pine Road home of Daniel Overly in Fairview Township. The theft occurred between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.Wednesday — An unknown thief between April 20 and Wednesday stole an unspecified amount of copper wire from the basement of a construction site on Marwood Road in Jefferson Township. Martik Brothers of Finleyville, Washington County, owns the stolen property.Wednesday — A wooden sign was stolen between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Nail Road home of John Sasse in Venango Township. The sign is shaped like a keystone and is inscribed "Commonwealth of PA, Butler County Constable."9:52 p.m. Friday — Ronald E. Harnish, 36, of North Washington was injured during a fight at the Last Laff bar on Route 68 in Chicora. Police said Harnish was flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh; his condition was not known this morning.Police said they are investigating the circumstances of the fight between Harnish and Carl F. Hays Jr., 40, of Butler.8:22 a.m. Tuesday — Three people were injured when cars driven by Rachel Baylock, 30, and Patty Dezi, 57, both of Burler collided at Route 68 and Kriess Road in Connoquenessing Township.Both drivers and Dana Robinson, 37, of Butler were treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor to moderate injuries. Police said Baylock was cited for illegally passing another vehicle, and Dezi was cited for a left turn violation.Monday — A 1997 Suzuki DS80Vmotorcycle was stolen from a garage at the Annisville Road home of Michael Christie in Washington Township.The theft occurred between 9 p.m. Sunday and 9 p.m. Monday.1 p.m. Friday — An SUV driven by Nina Marie Rossmiller, 19, of Butler crashed and rolled onto its roof on Route 356 in Jefferson Township. Rossmiller was wearing a seat belt and was taken to Allegheny General Hospital with moderate injuries.2:10 p.m. May 14 — An SUV driven by Nathan Killmer, 32, of West Sunbury crashed into an embankment and rolled over on North Road in Franklin Township. Police said Killmer was cited for an undisclosed traffic violation.7 p.m. May 11 — Someone stole a silver Subaru Forester owned by Patricia S. Slater of North Washington between 9 p.m. May 10 and 7 p.m. May 11.The stolen vehicle was found in a lot across from the Beer Garden Bar, less than a mile from her home. Anyone with information should call police at 724-284-8100.Noon May 10 — Someone stole $170 from a purse belonging to Dorothy Stalker, 77, of Parker after she allowed a man claiming he was sent to insulate her Kittanning Pike home. The unknown thief fled with an accomplice in a black passenger car.
10:30 a.m. Monday — Justin Wade Toy, 26, of Worthington was arrested after he allegedly stole an ATM card belonging to Marty Lynn Stewart of Worthington, and withdrew $400 without her consent.2 p.m. April 20 — A tractor trailer driven by Larry Fisher, 62, of Rome, Bradford County, a car driven by Megan Blair, 22, of Hollidaysburg, Blair County, and an SUV driven by Ben Lieb, 20, of Manns Choice, Bedford County, collided on Route 422 near Claypool Road.Police said Fisher was cited for an undisclosed traffic violation in the three-vehicle crash.
