BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE
Gordon Thompson will provide music for the 10:45 a.m. Sunday service at Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68.
Ballots for the church elections will be available Sunday in the narthex. Department reports for the end of the church year will also be due.
The Shepherd's Advance continuing education event for Nazarene pastors will be held May 6 at the Mount Chestnut Nazarene Center. The district secretary will have the pastors' reports available for distribution.
CHRIST COMMUNITY U.M.
The sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated at weekend worship services at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road.
Compassion Sunday will be observed during the Sunday worship services. Don Loomis will address the congregation during the 8:30 a.m. service. Families currently sponsoring children are encouraged to bring pictures and letters from their adopted children to display.
Tickets may be purchased for the HIS Productions dinner and variety show scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday by calling the church office at 724-287-4462. Donated pies for dessert should be taken to the church kitchen after noon on Saturday.
The youth group is accepting donated items and services for its May 15 auction. A luncheon will be served.
Orders for Church World Service blankets in memory or to honor women should be returned to the church by Sunday. Cost is $5 per blanket and blankets will be dedicated on Mothers Day.

A musical service by "In Transition" will be held at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Chicora United Methodist Church, 203 Central Ave., Chicora.
CHRIST'S OUTREACH
A women's spring banquet will be held at 6:30 p.m. May 13 at Christ's Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave. The speaker will be Nancy Cobb. The event is free and registration is required.

The Happy Lunch Bunch is planning a trip to the Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh. Cost is $51 a person. Reservations are due to the church office May 15.

The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper will be celebrated during the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St.
Marie Baird, associate professor of theology at Duquesne University, will lead the Seekers Class on Sunday. The class meets at 9:30 a.m. in the Assembly Room.
The Covenant Cupboard Food Bank is requesting donations of tuna or noodles for the month of May. Baskets to receive the donations are in the front hallway of the Jefferson Street entrance.
FAITH FELLOWSHIP
A missionary conference will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Faithway-Fared Drive. The event will include Saturday Night Alive with pizza at 7 p.m. Saturday and a tureen dinner at 6 p.m. Sunday.

The Women's Missionary Fellowship of First Baptist Church, 221 W, New Castle St., will host a mother-daughter banquet at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Baptist Youth Center.
The Shepherds Handbell Choir will present a concert at 6 p.m. Sunday.
Election of officers will head the agenda at the Women's Missionary Fellowship meetings Tuesday at the Baptist Youth Center. Virginia Whitmire and Belle Steele will serve as respective hostesses for the 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. sessions.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN
On Saturday, family and youth in grades 4 through 8 of First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., will participate in a hike. They will leave from the church at 9:30 a.m. and return at 1:30 p.m. Lunch, water and snacks will be provided.
A liturgical dance presentation will be part of the 11 a.m. Sunday service and will include dancers from Slippery Rock University.

The devotions will be at 2 p.m. Sunday and will include Exposition, Procession and Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Litany of the Blessed Mother, and prayers for the repose of the soul of Pope John Paul II.
