Annual charitable funds raised: $18,000 to $19,000
Annual club projects:Maintenance work at the Community Park; Adopt-a-Highway; organize and sponsor annual Fourth of July parade; provide five $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors; travelogue series; blood screening for senior citizens; fund various groups such as scouts, the library, and food bank; bell ringing for Salvation Army; food collecting for Meals on Wheels, Salvation Army, VOICe, and New Castle Rescue Mission, and various churches; donate turkeys to food cupboard at Thanksgiving; send students to World Affairs Council, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), Rotary Outstanding Vocational Awards (ROVA).
Main annual club project:In 2004-2005, replace roof on large pavilion at the Community ParkIn 2003-2004, installed speaker system along Zelienople's Main Street.
Club's Centennial Project:To help the children of flood victims in the Zelienople, Harmony, Jackson Township area, the club organized "Flood the Kids with Love." For this, 100 names were hung on Christmas trees and placed in four businesses. Participants picked names and bought toys for the kids. The number of children's names corresponds to the 100th anniversary of the founding of Rotary.Also, the Zelienople, Cranberry, Butler AM and Cranberry Township Sunrise Rotary clubs will celebrate the centennial with a breakfast meeting at 7:30 a.m. Feb. 23 at the Marriott Pittsburgh North in Cranberry Township.
