Knights boys outrun Talbots, 106-44
Ben Hutterer won both the 1,600-meter run in 4 minutes, 33 seconds and the 3,200 run (10:18) to help the Knoch boys track and field team defeat Hampton, 106-44, Tuesday.
C.J. Wise (high jump and triple jump) and Zac Gross (discus and javelin) each won two events in the field for the Knights.
Sarah Cooper and Sarah Robb won two field events each as the Knights girls edged Hampton, 78-72.
Elsewhere:
• Jen Boyd won all three jumps to lead the Seneca Valley girls to a 106-44 victory over Pine-Richland while Frank Campisino (100, 200) and Tim Miles (shot put and discus) won two events each in the Raiders' 123-27 win over the Rams.
• The Butler boys received victories from nine different athletes and captured all three relays in a 108-42 triumph over North Hills.
In the girls meet, Ashley Lotz captured all three jumps and the 100 hurdles to lead Butler to a 113-37 win.
• Karns City's boys defeated A-CValley 115-34 and Clarion-Limestone by a 114-36 count, improving their record to 3-0 and upping their league dual meet winning streak to 65.
Xandria White won the 100, 200 and long jump as the Karns City girls team routed A-C Valley 137-13 and Clarion-Limestone 129-21.
• Tiffany Corle won the 200, the high jump and the javelin as the Union girls defeated Cranberry 83-65 and lost to Redbank Valley 78-70 and Moniteau 80-69.
The Moniteau girls team, in the meet against Union, received six combined individual wins from sisters Amy and Amanda Gladd, while Kendra Hall won the shot put and javelin.
The Union boys defeated Cranberry 92-58 but fell to Redbank Valley 80-70. Brett Moore led the way for the Knights, winning the overall 400 and high jump.
