7:31 a.m. Sunday — An unknown vehicle struck a parked car owned by Amy Gallagher of Butler on Center Avenue, damaging the driver's side mirror.4:13 a.m. Sunday — A patrolman discovered a sheared stop sign at the intersection of Broad and West Jefferson streets. Tire tracks left near the sign, which was laying on the sidewalk, and broken glass indicated a hit-and-run accident.1:26 a.m. Sunday — Nicholas Scott, 23, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence and careless driving following a traffic stop on Walker Avenue. His passenger, Whitney Sullivan, 20, also of Butler, was cited for underage drinking.12:16 a.m. Sunday — Franklin H. Anthony, 38, of Butler was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and careless driving after his vehicle struck the rear of another vehicle on Main Street near New Castle Street. Neither Anthony nor the other driver, whose name was unavailable this morning, was injured.1:55 a.m. Saturday — Someone driving a car owned by Carolyn Pistorius of Butler struck a parked pickup truck owned by David Sams of Butler on Liberty Street, locking both vehicles together, before fleeing on foot. Pistorius denied knowledge of the accident or who was driving her car, which had a suspended registration and no insurance.8:47 p.m. Oct. 20 — A car driven by Carol Helberg, 69, of Conneaut, Ohio, struck the rear of a car driven by Cynthia Schantz, 26, of Butler on Center Avenue. No injuries were reported.
5:20 a.m. Sunday — A vehicle driven by James Fallecker, 55, of Chicora struck a deer on Route 268 in Parker Township. He was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.Sunday — Somone damaged the driver's side window of a vehicle owned by Ruby McNichol, 75, of Muddy Creek Township while it was parked near 1193 Perry Highway between 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday. Anyone with information about the incident should call police at 724-284-8100.10 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by David Rudolph, 26, of Butler and a car driven by Lee Walter, 57, of Harrisville collided on Route 8 at an entrance to the Clearview Mall in Center Township. No injuries were reported.9 a.m. Saturday — A blue bicycle was found in a creek bed just north of Route 68 in Chicora. The bicycle will be released to the owner upon identification at the police barracks in Butler Township, which can be reached at 724-284-8100.Saturday — Someone kicked the door of Nichole Colosimo's residence at 904 New Castle Road, causing about $150 in damage, between 6:15 and 6:50 p.m. Anyone with information about the incident should call police at 724-284-8100.7 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Christopher Jolly, 19, of Butler hit a guardrail along the berm of Holyoke Road in Center Township before traveling another 120 feet and hitting an electric pole off the north berm. Jolly was taken by Butler Ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. An unidentified passenger fled the scene before police arrived. Police found prescription medicine in Jolly's possession that was not prescribed to him. Police are investigating. The Unionville Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.2:01 a.m. Saturday — Dave Winter, 42, was arrested for simple assault following a domestic incident with his wife, Gloria Winter, 46, in their Middlesex Township residence at 112 Park Drive. Gloria Winter sustained minor injuries. Dave Winter was jailed in Butler County Prison but later posted $5,000 bond and was released.8:50 p.m. Friday — Greggory Hovis, 50, of Butler was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Hooker Road in Concord Township.
2:30 a.m. Saturday — Someone driving a white Ford F150 pickup truck hit a utility pole in Mary Ryan's Pine Township yard at 585 George Junior Road. The truck's left side door should be damaged.Saturday — Someone damaged a vehicle owned by Gregory Price of Cranberry Township while it was parked in the gravel student parking lot off Pinchalong Road at Grove City College between 1:15 a.m. Wednesday and 3:45 p.m. Saturday.Saturday — Someone damaged the passenger side mirror of a tractor-trailer owned by DTS Truck Leasing of Columbus, Ohio, while it was parked at the T/A truck stop in Barkeyville.
11:45 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Drew Edwards, 18, of Worthington and a vehicle driven by Michael West, 51, of Lower Burrell collided on Route 28 in East Deer Township. The impact caused West's vehicle to roll onto its passenger side. Edwards and West's passenger, Louise West, 50, received minor injuries. Michael West was not injured. All three people were wearing seat belts.10:50 a.m. Sunday — Kimberly Lajewski, 25, of Butler was charged with retail theft after allegedly attempting to steal $37 worth of merchandise from the Kittanning Wal-Mart.10:45 p.m. Saturday — Rebecca Boylstein's mailbox at 121 Windcrest Lane in North Buffalo Township exploded after someone put a plastic bottle containing aluminum foil, pop and an activating agent inside the mailbox. Anyone with information about the incident should call police at 724-543-2011.6:55 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by David Stoughton, 20, of Kittanning struck an embankment off Route 3005 in North Buffalo Township. No injuries were reported. The West Kittanning Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.8:09 p.m. Friday — A vehicle driven by Brent Davis, age unavailable, of Worthington struck a cow on Route 422 in Kittanning Township. The vehicle and the cow both landed on the north berm of the road. The cow was killed upon impact. Davis was not injured. A second cow avoided being struck.
Saturday — Someone tried to break into a Millcreek Township camp owned by Francis Barry, 41, of Mars on Old State Road, damaging the door and window, between 6 p.m. Oct. 21 and noon Saturday. Anyone with information about the incident should call police at 814-226-1710.3:10 p.m. Friday — Someone driving a tractor-trailer pulled into the left lane of Interstate 80 in Allegheny Township, hitting the passenger side door of a car driven by Tara Deibler of Lewiston, Pa., before fleeing the scene. Anyone with information about the truck should call police at 814-226-1710.1:10 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Don Kepple, 48, of Fayetteville hit a guardrail along Route 38 in Emlenton before crossing the road and hitting an embankment, rolling onto its roof. Kepple was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
