Mary M. Martinek, 96, of Cabot, formerly of Middlesex Township, died Sunday morning at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit of Concordia Home in Cabot.

Born in Elderton on Feb. 1, 1911, she was the daughter of Michael and Elizabeth M. Irvin Marts.

A homemaker, Mrs. Martinek was a member of the Mars Alliance Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Starr of Butler and Mrs. David (Cathy) Miller of Zelienople; three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded by her husband, Joseph J. Martinek, whom she married Jan. 18, 1941, and who died on March 25, 1993; four brothers, and four sisters.
