Dorothy M. Kissinger
Dorothy M. Fonner Kissinger, 88, of Mars, formerly of McCandless Township, died Friday evening at the LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.
She was born July 6, 1921, in Vandergrift.
She was a retired billing clerk for UPMC Passavant hospital in McCandless Township.
She had attended the Mars United Presbyterian Church. While living at Penn-Mar Plaza in Mars, she belonged to the Silver Sneakers group.
Surviving are a daughter, Gale Fonner of Cranberry Township; a son, Gary Kissinger and his wife, Sherry, of Butler; and a daughter-in-law, Judy Fonner in Minnesota. She was the grandmother of Sean, Jenny, David, Robin and Terry.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Merle D. Fonner; her second husband, Albert L. Kissinger Jr.; a son, George Fonner; her longtime companion, Jack Coddington; three sisters, Mabel Cermel, Ruth Glover and Bertha Wike; and her brother, Allen Beck.
