U.S. Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Matthew Fignar graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

Fignar is a 2007 graduate North Catholic High School and is the son of Mary Rose Fignar of West Penn Place, Pittsburgh, and grandson of George Fignar of Zelienople.

U.S. Airman Recruit Randall Weaver, USN, has completed basic training at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, Ill.

He will be attending aviation structural mechanic class, a school in Pensacola, Fla.

Weaver is a 2012 graduate of Yorktown High School and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Weaver of Muncie, Ind., formerly of Mars. He is the grandson of Frances Weaver of Valencia and J. Frank Doney of Bakerstown.

U.S. Navy Seaman Tiffany Hyek recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Hyek is the daughter of Darlene Butera of Sarver and Gary Hyek of Sarver.
