Borough Council Monday night:Voted 6-0 to sell its 1-ton dump truck to Barbara Stickny, of Cabot, for $6,418.42.Voted 6-0 to buy a 2006 GMC 1-ton dump truck for $38,973.98 through the PA Capitol City Automotive and Equipment contract.Voted 6-0 to join the PA Capitol City Automotive and Equipment contract.

Borough council Tuesday night:Voted 7-0 to advertise for snow removal bidsVoted 7-0 to renew its insurance contract with C. W. Howard.Voted 6-1 to set the borough's trick-or-treat night for 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31.

The county commissioners, at their meeting Thursday:Awarded a contract to Media Post of Zelienople not to exceed $28,000 for the development and production of a recycling educational CD. The project, for which the county will contribute $2,800, is for hard-to-recycle items.

Supervisors, at their meeting Thursday night:Accepted the Cranberry Area Public Transit Study and outlined a continued relationship with the Butler Township/City Joint Municipal Transit Authority regarding the implementation of the recommendations of the study.Approved final plans for a 3,900-square-foot Northwest Savings Bank that will be located in the Route 228 Commercial Center near the Red Robin Restaurant at 1688 Route 228.Approved final plans for Phases II and III of the Carriage Manor housing plan that consist of 34 single-family homes on 30 acres along Myoma Road.Approved final plans for the On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina, a 6,307-square-foot restaurant to be located in the Route 228 Commercial Center at 1724 Route 228.Approved a resolution allowing Goehring Road property owner Denton Powell to be included in an Agricultural Security Zone created by Adams Township and requesting that Adams Township officials include the farm property in the security zone. The request was made because the township does not have any Agricultural Security Zones and Powell wanted to get into the program in an effort to preserve the farm from future development.
