William Louis 'Bill' Alexander Jr.

William Louis “Bill” Alexander Jr., 72, of La Grange, N.C., passed away Oct. 6.

Bill was born Aug. 19, 1939, in Connoquenessing, to the late William Lewis Alexander and Bernice Alberta “Ben” Irvin Alexander.

Bill received a bachelor's degree in accounting and worked many years as a bookkeeper/controller.

Bill was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kinston First Ward.

Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, flying and photography. He was an accomplished musician and played professionally for more than 50 years.

In his later years, he taught courses in real estate and was a great source of knowledge to his family and friends.

Bill is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sharon Stacey Alexander; six children, David Edward Alexander and his wife, Annette, of Falconer, N.Y., William Drew “Bill” Alexander of Connoquenessing, Seth Thomas Alexander of Grayling, Mich., Spring Deal and her husband, Chris, of Butler, Elizabeth Faye Andrusis and her husband, Chris, of Slippery Rock, and Jessica Jean Smith and her husband, Joshua, of Redmond, Wash.; 10 grandchildren, Ashleigh Berry, Krystal Spare, William “Bill” Alexander, Michael Alexander, Bryce Alexander, Annalee Alexander, Kayla Alexander, Nathaniel Deal, Emila Deal and Natalie Smith; three great-grandchildren, Andrew, Jaxon and Kianna; and a sister, Linda McClelland of Butler.

<B>ALEXANDER </B>— A service of remembrance for William Louis “Bill” Alexander Jr., who died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kelly Boulevard, Slippery Rock.
