11:58 p.m. Wednesday — Charlotte Barger, 48, of Parker was arrested for driving under the influence on West Wayne Street.10:49 a.m. Tuesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Kathy Burkett and a car driven by Norine Daubner, 64, both of Butler, collided at Mercer and Penn streets. Daubner suffered minor injuries.4:49 p.m. Monday — Acar driven bySandra Bash, 56, of Jefferson Township and a pickup truck driven by Melisa Fleske, 37, of Butler collided on Monroe Street.9:45 p.m. Jan. 15 — Harry Eugene Wagner, 33, of Butler was arrested for DUIat Franklin and East Penn street, after his pickup struck a parked SUV. Police said Wagner also was cited for careless driving, accidents involving damage to an unattended vehicle, an open container violation and driving with invalid inspection.1:10 a.m. Jan. 13 — Three people were cited for providing alcohol to minors after police were called to a loud party at the third-floor Mercer Street apartment of Ellen Anderson.Officers reported seeing empty beer cans and bottles about the apartment, and about 10 people inside, most of whom were younger than 21. Aglass pipe with suspected marijuana residue also was found.Charged with furnishing alcohol to minors, according to a police report, are Anderson, 19, Lucas Baer, 24, and Julian Hood, 23, all of Butler. Additionally, Anderson is charged with underage drinking and possession of drug paraphernalia, and Hood is charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.Also cited for underage drinking were Jerry Phillips Jr., 20, and Kirk Smith, 19, both of Butler; and Brittany Geibel, 20, no address given.

11 p.m. Wednesday — Donald Leo Scherer, 32, was arrested for allegedly punching and choking a woman at his Rabbitt Road home in Donegal Township.Police said they met the alleged victim, Heidi Rupp, at another location. The woman had a bloody nose and dried blood around her mouth, redness on her left eye and marks on her shoulder, according to court documents.Rupp told police Scherer also threatened to kill her during the assault.District Judge Sue Haggerty arraigned Scherer on charges of simple assault, terroristic threats, and harassment and stalking. The defendant, following arraignment, was placed in the Butler County Prison on $60,000 bail.

Tuesday — Tools valued at $500 were stolen from the bed of a truck parked on Lawsonham Road in Madison Township. Police said the theft occurred between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 4:30 a.m. Tuesday. William Himes of Rimersburg owns the stolen property.

Tuesday — An unknown burglar between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. entered a Pittsburgh Road home in Barkeyville through a window. Police said no property was taken.

3:03 p.m. Tuesday — Acar driven by Amanda Price, 27, of Grove City slid into another car, driven by Stephen Morgan, 25, of Transfer, Mercer County, on snow-covered Route 258 in Springfield Township.Tuesday — An unknown thief between 6:15 and 8:30 p.m. stole a purse that was behind a counter at the Music for a Song store at Prime Outlets in Springfield Township.The purse, owned by Jennifer Taylor of Grove City, contained a Samsung cell phone, gift cards and other property. Police said the purse and contents are valued at about $280.12:31 a.m. Sunday — Eighteen people were arrested for underage drinking at a party at a Clintonville Road home in Pine Township. Police did not identify those charged.2:26 a.m. Jan. 14 — Christopher Egger, 21, of Rochester, Beaver County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 258 near Brent Road in Liberty Township. Police said Egger also was cited for careless driving and a lane violation.

Tuesday — Paul Glova, 86, of Grove City reported he was driving on Main Street when he turned into Memorial Park and hit a 3-foot metal pole. The pole was partially out of the ground and caused minor damage to the passenger side quarter panel of his 2006 minivan. No injuries were reported.10:26 a.m. Jan. 17 — Two 14-year-old juveniles were cited by police for a fight at Grove CityHigh School.4:45 p.m. Jan. 16 — Two vehicles collided at the intersection of North Broad and North streets in Grove City. The vehicles were driven by Andrew Elder, 20, of Grove City and Sue Taggart, 36, of Slippery Rock. Taggart had a knee injury and was taken to Grove City Medical Center. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene and Elder was cited for a traffic violation.Jan. 16 — A mountain bike was recovered from the 300 block of Blaine Street. Anyone who can identify this bike or has information is asked to contact the police department.11 a.m. Jan. 16 — Tedd Nesbit, 40, of Grove City reported a theft of a bicycle. Sometime between Jan. 10 and Jan. 13, an unknown person took a green metallic Mongoose BMX style bike from the 400 block of Stewart Avenue. The bike is new and has chrome foot pegs on the front and back. Anyone with any information is asked to call the police department.Jan. 15 — Sometime between 8 p.m. on Jan. 15 and 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 16, a large vehicle damaged Perkins restaurant's entrance sign. It appears that a large truck pulled into the yard, striking and denting the sign and breaking the plastic cover. The vehicle also caused yard and curb damage. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department.
