Neff

Andrew J. Neff, 77, of North Oakland, Chicora, died at 5:06 p.m. Tuesday in Butler Memorial Hospital following a short illness.

Born June 12, 1934, he was the son of Herman W. Neff and Mary Agnes Angert Neff.

He was a 1953 graduate of Butler High School. He worked with oil wells in the Chicora area and then worked at Magnetics in East Butler, where he was in the furnace department.

He attended St. Fidelis Seminary in Herman. He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in North Oakland.

Andy enjoyed collecting trains and antique toys, gardening, country music and growing trees.

He is survived by a sister, Catherine and Phillip Graham; seven brothers, Joseph W. and Diana Neff, Wendell and Marian Neff, Herman and Bridget Neff, Benjamin Neff, Patrick and Jean Neff, Gerard “Jerry” and Donna Neff, and Raymond and Jeanne Neff; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Thomas Neff.

Main and East Slippery Rock streets, Chicora. A Celebration of Life Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, officiated by the Rev. Joseph Pudichery, pastor of St. Joseph and Mater Dolorosa Churches in Chicora.
