Thursday — Police charged a Butler Township woman for illegally trying to obtain prescription painkillers.Errika Hodak, 19, of Lyndora on Monday allegedly took her grandmother's prescription bottle of Vicodin and insurance card to the Kmart in Pullman Square, in hopes of refilling the prescription.Authorities were alerted and spoke with Hodak, who admitted she attempted to buy the pills "so she could sell them to make money,"according to a police report.Wednesday — Police charged Kelly Nicole Everetts, 24, of Butler for allegedly stealing two checks owned by a Red Rose Street man. Everetts is accused of forging the checks for $135. She is charged with two counts each of theft and forgery.
2:11 a.m. Thursday — Michael Comley, 28, of Valencia faces charges for an altercation with security at Frisco's Bar and Grill in the Days Inn on Route 8 South. Police said Comley was cited for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.4 p.m. Wednesday — Police arrested a Venango County man following a disturbance at Panera Bread in Butler Commons.Matthew Carlson, 27, of Kennerdell is accused of strange behavior and making obscene gestures at customers at the restaurant. Asearch of the suspect turned up a hypodermic needle, according to a police report.Carlson is charged with disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia. Carlson was placed in the Butler County Prison on a detainer from Venango County, where he is wanted on a warrant.9:07 p.m. Tuesday — Vehicles driven by Rachel Calhoun, no age given, of Renfrew and Lisa Blum, no age given, of Butler collided at Fairground Hill Road and Campus Lane in front of the Butler Intermediate High School.
8:05 a.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Jeffrey Musthaf, 16, of Cowansville, Armstrong County, overturned after hitting an embankment along Duffy School Road in Donegal Township. Police said Musthaf was cited for a lane violation.
Wednesday — Police nabbed 12 illegal aliens during two separate calls on Interstate 80 at Route 478 in Richland Township.Troopers in the first case responded to a disabled vehicle about 11:35 a.m. Police said a cell phone caller reported seeing three men flee the vehicle.The caller and PennDOT workers mowing grass in the area told police that the men ran into nearby woods.Troopers and Emlenton and Knox police, assisted by a state police helicopter, searched the area and rounded up eight men and a woman of Hispanic origin.None of the suspects could produce identification and were turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials.Police, meanwhile, about 7:05 p.m., detained three Hispanic men found walking along the interstate. None of the men could speak English or had identification.Federal immigration authorities again were called and the men were placed in the Clarion County prison, police said.
9:17 p.m. Tuesday — A suspected drunken driver crashed his car into a ditch along Bear Street in Worthington. When police got to the crash site, the suspect was on the ground near his vehicle.Police did not identify the suspect, a 44-year-old Worthington man, who was taken to ACMH Hospital in Kittanning and treated for extreme alcohol intoxication.
9 p.m. Wednesday — Paul Smithers, 40, of Volant was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Leesburg Road in Springfield Township.Tuesday — A boy, who police did not identify, is suspected of stealing $735 from the Leesburg-Grove City Road home of Timothy and Shelly Mathews in Springfield Township. The theft occurred between April 30 and Tuesday.
