Joseph A. Pelusi

Joseph A. Pelusi, 92, of Butler passed away Sunday in DeSoto, Texas.

He was born in St. Louis, Mo., Oct. 30, 1919, and was the son of the late Massimo and Peace Diana DeFerante Pelusi.

Joseph was a scrap dealer for 57 years retiring in 2006.

He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church and the Disabled American Veterans.

Surviving are two sons, Keith Pelusi and his wife, Judy, of DeSoto, Texas, and Steve Pelusi and his wife, Diane, of Butler; and one daughter, Rita Scanga and her husband, Dennis, of Louisville, Ky. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen Martsolf Pelusi, who passed away Nov. 23, 2002; one daughter, Susan Donnelly; one brother, and two sisters.

<B>PELUSI</B> — Friends of Joseph A. Pelusi, who died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011, will be received at <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave., Butler, from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in the St. Michael Cemetery.The St. Paul Catholic Women and Christian Mothers will meet at the church at 9:35 a.m. Saturday to recite the rosary.Information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
