2 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Samuel Moore, 24, of Slippery Rock struck an embankment and crashed on Harmony Road in Slippery Rock Township.11:45 a.m. Wednesday — Two teenagers, who police did not identify, were injured when two vehicles collided during whiteout snow conditions on Interstate 79 in Worth Township.The car with the two teens inside was northbound when blinding snow caused it to go off the road and into a guardrail. The car traveled back onto the road and struck a vehicle driven by Kenneth Wegner, 52, of Lancaster, N.Y.Both teens, wearing seat belts, were treated for minor injuries at Grove City Medical Center.Wednesday — Kelsie Salzano of New Wilmington, Mercer County, reported that a purse containing $122 was taken from her vehicle at Slippery Rock Lanes on Grove City Road in Slippery Rock. The theft occurred between 6:15 and 8:30 p.m.9:26 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by John Carly, 21, of Boyers struck an embankment and rolled onto its roof on Route 58 in Marion Township.9 p.m. Tuesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Tricia Brennan, 21, of Harmony struck an embankment on Lower Harmony Road in Connoquenessing Township.7:20 a.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Amanda McFeaters, 19, of Prospect struck an embankment and rolled onto its side on Route 528 in Brady Township.Tuesday — A large white dog was found on Route 68 near the B&E Market in Connoquenessing Township. Police advise the dog's owner to call Eugene Henry at 724-283-9956.1:39 a.m. Jan. 18 — William Christy, 55, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 8 in Center Township.

5:15 p.m. Wednesday — Cars driven by Scott Snyder, 28, of Valencia and Steven Dickson, 33, of Grove City collided on Route 298 in Pine Township, Mercer County.2:55 p.m. Wednesday — Cars driven by Madeline McBride, 81, of Grove City and Sherry Ruetschi, 32, of Slippery Rock collided on Route 173 in Liberty Township, Mercer County.Both drivers, wearing seat belts, suffered moderate injuries. Michelle Rankin, 33, of Slippery Rock, a passenger in Ruetschi's car, suffered minor injuries; she was wearing a seat belt.

Sunday — A flatbed truck was found stolen three days after it ran out of gas and had been left on the side of Route 422 between Routes 60 and 168 in New Castle.Police did not identify the driver of the truck, owned by T.L.W. Auto Center in Mars. The vehicle is a 1989 Ford F450 Super Duty flatbed; it has white with red lettering on the doors that spells out the name of the business.
