8 p.m. Tuesday - Frank Bennetti Jr., 48, of Butler swerved his car on East Brady Street to avoid another car, driven by Valerie Sura, 45, of Natrona Heights, Allegheny County, that had skidded into his lane. Bennetti's car then struck a utility pole.Bennetti, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with unknown injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital.Tuesday - An unidentified red vehicle struck a sport utility vehicle parked on Fifth Street and did not stop following the crash. Ruth Crawford of Slippery Rock owns the SUV.12:09 a.m. Feb. 20 - A car driven by Gary Funk, 48, of Butler struck an embankment and traffic sign and flipped onto its roof along Route 8 near Pepperland Boulevard.Funk left the scene and on Thursday contacted police about the crash. He told police he did not immediately report the crash because it had left him disoriented. Funk, who said he was unsure of how the crash occurred, was cited for careless driving.

3:45 p.m. Sunday - Police were called to a reported burglary at the Benkart Rigging business in the former Besco's building on Zeigler Street Extension. Officers found the doors of the building had been forced open and cabinets inside overturned. Nothing, however, was taken from the building.8:36 a.m. Sunday - John Hoogerbrugge reported that someone overnight threw a brick at the windshield of a vehicle at his Pennsylvania Avenue home. The car belongs to Hoogerbrugge's son.

5:14 p.m. Tuesday - A pickup truck by Kenneth Anderson Jr., 22, of Karns City skidded off snow-covered Chicora-Fenelton Road in Donegal Township, struck an embankment and rolled onto its side.4:08 p.m. Tuesday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Robert Evans, 39, of Chicora skidded off snow-covered Route 68 in Oakland Township and struck a utility pole.7:45 a.m. Tuesday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Glenda Stryker, no age given, of Slippery Rock skidded off snow-covered West Liberty Road in Worth Township, struck an embankment and rolled onto its side. Stryker, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.6:45 a.m. Tuesday - A car driven by Aaron Rhodaberger, 38, of Butler skidded off snow-covered Route 356 in Summit Township and struck a road sign and utility pole. Rhodaberger, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.6:17 a.m. Tuesday - A van driven by Robert Michels, 56, of Slippery Rock and a PennDOT truck with a snowplow collided at Route 8 and McCandless Road in Center Township. Michels, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with minor injuries, including a broken rib, to Butler Memorial Hospital.5:25 a.m. Tuesday - A car driven by Mark Wertz, 37, of Girard, Erie County, skidded off snow-covered Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township and struck the median.10:30 p.m. Monday - Michael Anderson, 35, of Erie lost control of his sport utility vehicle after being temporarily blinded when a passing tractor-trailer sprayed snow onto his SUV on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township. Anderson's vehicle struck a hillside and rolled over 1½ times, police said.5:30 p.m. Monday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Douglas Kelly, 33, of Jefferson Township skidded off snow-covered Interstate 79 in Worth Township and struck an embankment.5:18 p.m. Monday - A pickup truck driven by Ronald Rummell, 32, of Slippery Rock skidded on snow-covered Branchton Road in Cherry Township and collided with a tractor-trailer driven by John Heeter, 28, of Ellwood City, Lawrence County, Rummell, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.Monday - An unidentified vehicle between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. struck a car parked at the Knoch Elementary School parking lot and did not stop following the crash. Robert Pflugh of Sarver owns the car.1:50 a.m. Sunday - Justin Ambrisco, no age given, of Ebensburg, Cambria County was arrested for driving under the influence after his pickup truck struck a guardrail at Route 173 and Ralston Road in Slippery Rock Township.Friday - Four checks were stolen between Feb. 18 and Friday from the Margaret Avenue home of Kevin Smith in Forward Township. The checks were later forged and cash.New Sewickley Township police in Beaver County are assisting in the investigation, and police have a suspect in the case.

3:45 p.m. Monday - A car driven by Kenneth Bowser, 25, and a sport utility vehicle driven by Shawn Horvath, 25, both of Rimersburg, collided on Monterey Road in Toby Township, Clarion County.

9:24 a.m. Monday - A car driven by Lindsay Gray, 21, of Chicora skidded off slush-covered Route 28 in Buffalo Township, Butler County and flipped onto it roof. Gray and Wade McCall, 23, of Chicora, a passenger in the car, suffered unknown injuries. Neither was wearing a seat belt. Gray was cited for driving too fast for conditions.9:36 p.m. Feb. 13 - Patrick Tyler Hill, no age given, of Cabot was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 28 in Tarentum, Allegheny County. In addition to DUI, Hill was cited for speeding and not wearing a seat belt.

8:30 a.m. Tuesday - A car driven by Tanya Rice, 23, of Mercer skidded off slush-covered Route 258 in Springfield Township, Mercer County, and rolled onto its side. Rice was cited for driving too fast for conditions.8:20 a.m. Tuesday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Noah Randall, 23, of Milford, Ohio, skidded off slush-covered Route 258 in Liberty Township, Mercer County, and struck a tree. Todd Conklin, 22, of Lockport, N.Y., a passenger in the vehicle wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Randall was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
