Seneca Valley High grad Steve Minton, a freshman tailback making his first start for Thiel College, rushed for 109 yards on 19 carries and two touchdowns as the Tomcats downed Bluffton University 45-14 Saturday.

Sophomore Dennis Gearhart, a Freeport High grad, rushed for 53 yards on nine carries and scored two touchdowns in Waynesburg College's 73-14 rout over Manchester Saturday.

Seneca Valley graduate Susan Fletcher placed ninth overall in helping the Geneva College women's cross country team place second out of eight schools at the Malone (Ohio) Invitational Friday in Canton.The top-ranked team in the NAIA, Malone College, won the meet. Fletcher finished with a time of 20 minutes, 32 seconds.
