2:13 a.m. Sunday - Thomas McClain, 44, of 432 W. New Castle St., Apt. 22, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Sue Harris, 30, during a domestic dispute at the couple's home. McClain was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $2,000 bond.12:20 a.m. Sunday - Scott Selfridge, 39, of 134 S. Main St., Apt. 4, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Lori Snyder, 37, during a domestic dispute at the woman's South Main Street apartment. Selfridge, arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, was placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $2,000 bond.6:45 a.m. Friday - A tractor-trailer driven by Robert Fowler, 42, of Geneva, Ohio, struck a fire hydrant at South Main Street and Route 8 South. The crash broke off the hydrant's stem and caused a large amount of water to flood the road.Fowler, who drove off after the crash, was found in Saxonburg and cited for accidents causing damage to unattended property.8:45 a.m. Tuesday - Christopher Geibel, 26, of 214 N. Elm St. was charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct after allegedly smashing out a window at the Glade Run Lutheran Services office at the Holly Point building on South Main Street.
10:55 p.m. Saturday - Roger Nixon, 41, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township.4:40 p.m. Saturday - Vehicles driven by James Pudina, no age given of Seneca, Venango County and Judith McDonald, no age or address given, collided at Route 38 and Rider Road in Concord Township.5:30 a.m. Saturday - Someone tired unsuccessfully to break into G.V. Bi-Products on Evans City Road in Forward Township.1:50 a.m. Saturday - Teri Moretti, no age given, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 356 in Butler Township.Saturday - A 1988 Chevrolet G20 conversion van was taken from the Saxonburg Road home of Bruce Moody in Jefferson Township. The van is silver with black stripes and a black roof, and has the temporary Pennsylvania plate FHG-0228.Police said the van's doors were unlocked and the key was in the ignition. The theft occurred between 11:30 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday.7:30 p.m. Friday - Birch Foley, no age given, of Sarver is accused of threatening to shoot two Jefferson Township men following an argument. Police arrested Foley at his home, where several loaded guns were found.Foley is charged with terroristic threats, harassment and disorderly conduct. He is free on recognizance bond with an order he has no contact with the men he allegedly threatened.6:20 p.m. Friday - A pickup truck driven by David Yockey Jr., 30, of Sarver and a sport utility vehicle driven by Sharon Carson, 41, of Freeport collided at Stoneyhollow and Winfield roads in Winfield Township.5:50 p.m. Friday - Cars driven by William Brinkley, 25, of Parker and Garth Kohlmeyer, 17, of Butler collided at Route 308 and Wolf Road in Cherry Township.3 p.m. Friday - A car driven by Brandon Timblin, 19, and a sport utility vehicle driven by Travis Taggart, 18, both of Slippery Rock collided at Crestview and Hines roads in Slippery Rock Township. Both drivers and Travis Eckenrode, 19, of Slippery Rock, all of whom were wearing seat belts, suffered undisclosed injuries.2 p.m. Friday - Lisa Katz, 44, of Prospect was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Fisher Road in Muddy Creek Township.10:55 p.m. April 14 - Kelly Passaro, no age given, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence at Route 422 and Bonniebrook Road in Summit Township.
5:05 p.m. Saturday - A car driven by Patrick McGuire Jr., no age given, of Kittanning struck a guardrail and traveled down an embankment along Wyant Road in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County.1:37 a.m. Saturday - Gene Walter, 31, of Saxonburg swerved his sport utility vehicle to avoid a deer on Route 28 in Harrison Township, Allegheny County, and struck a Jersey barrier. Walter, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.
2:55 a.m. Wednesday - A mini-van driven by Sherri Smith, 41, of Sandy Lake struck the rear of a garbage truck on Route 58 in Pine Township, Mercer County. Smith was taken with minor injuries to United Community Hospital in Grove City.
