PROSPECT — The Prospect community day car cruise will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. May 29 at the Fairground Market, Route 422.

The free event includes oldies music by a disc jockey, food, door prizes, a 50/50 raffle and free gun locks while supplies last. The rain date is May 30.

ZELIENOPLE — A bowl-a-thon will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. May 15 at Freeway Lanes, 22406 Perry Highway, to benefit Judy Gettman of Zelienople, who was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease).Tickets include three games of bowling with shoe rental, pizza, drinks and donation. HARMONY — Patricia Knoechel will present her annual Quilt in a Day program at 10 a.m. June 1 in Stewart Hall at the Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St.,The two-hour program will be based on the books "Quilt Blocks on American Barns" and "Orion's Star" and patterns "Autumn Leaves: Twice as Nice" and "Whirligig" by Knoechel and her sister Eleanor Burns, Quilt in a Day founder and syndicated television quilter.Reservations and advance tickets are recommended. MARS — A ladies spring tea will be held at 3 p.m. May 15 in the community room of Mars Library, 107 Grand Ave.Young ladies age 4 and up are welcome. Treats and teas will be provided by SweetHouse Bake Shop.For information or to register, call 724-625-9048.

EAST BRADY — The East Brady Beautification Group will hold a plant sale starting at 8 a.m. May 29 in the parking lot of the East Brady Methodist Church, 418 Kellys Way. The sale will feature perennial plants, herbs, garden accessories and ornaments. Proceeds will support East Brady beautification projects.Cash donations will be accepted at the plant booth and may also be mailed to Carolyn Olszak, 708 Grant St., East Brady, PA 16028. Will Hillenbrand, illustrator of the children's book "What a Treasure," will visit the Butler Public Library, 218 S. McKean St., at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. A presentation, crafts and activities are planned. "What a Treasure" is this year's PA One Book, Every Young Child selection.

Decorations for the Butler High School After Prom can be viewed from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the gymnasium of Butler High School, 110 Campus Lane. The theme is "Last Dance at Mardi Gras." The event is sponsored by the senior and junior parent committee.
