Monday - Kenneth Gratzinger, 18, of 408 Bredin Ave., Butler, was arrested for breaking into a Third Street home on Aug. 31. Gratzinger allegedly entered the home through a kitchen window and took a wallet containing $300 and credit cards.He is charged with burglary, theft and receiving stolen property.Monday - Two bikes were taken overnight.Mick Pappas said a purple and white, Quasar mountain bike was taken from his yard at West Brady Street. Donna Leon said a lavender Huffy bike was taken from her porch.7:30 p.m. Friday - A car driven by Ryan Mullen, 18, of Butler Township struck the rear of a car, driven by Diana Spinetti, 35, of Butler on West Cunningham Street. The collision pushed Spinetti's vehicle into the rear of a car driven by Chastity Stuart, 28, of Oakland Township.Mullen, who was not wearing a seat belt, was treated for moderate injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital. He was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
Monday - James Perry, 60, of Pittsburgh was arrested for allegedly writing eight bad checks totaling $4,000 between March and August that were passed to the Marburger Dairy Farm in Forward Township.8:18 p.m. Sunday - Cars driven by John Walsh, 47, of Edinboro, Erie County, and Stephen Joseph, 26, of Export, Westmoreland County, collided at Route 422 and the Interstate 79 exit ramp in Muddy Creek Township. Joseph, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Walsh was cited for failing to yield.Sunday - David Buczkowski, 46, and his wife, Patricia Buczkowski, 47, were arrested for assaulting one another during a dispute at their 680 Branchton Road in Cherry Township. Both suspects, who suffered minor injuries, are charged with simple assault.Sunday - An unidentified vehicle between 9 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. Sunday struck a mailbox along Wagner Road in Forward Township and did not stop.3:25 p.m. Saturday - A car driven by Scott Seifert, 24, of Vienna, Va., struck a deer on Interstate 79 in Worth Township.2:37 p.m. Saturday - Cars driven by Joseph Lunn, no age given, of Fenelton and Christie Seybert, no age given, of Chicora collided at Center Drive and Stein Road in Oakland Township.Saturday - Mary Fallen of Butler said someone between 7 and 9 p.m. took her wedding rings she had removed while in the restroom at the Sears, Clearview Mall in Center Township.Saturday - Someone between Thursday and Saturday smashed out several windows at the Center Drive mobile home of Raymond Hayes in Oakland Township.8:45 p.m. Friday - Pamlyn Allen, 43, of 143 Sportsman Lane, Slippery Rock, was arrested for driving under the influence after her sport utility vehicle struck an embankment and rolled onto its roof on Harmony Road in Mercer Township.Friday - Several undisclosed items were taken between 4 and 10:30 p.m. from a shed at the Slippery Rock Elementary School in Slippery Rock Township.7:45 p.m. Thursday - A car driven by Noah Zajac, 17, of Prospect crossed the centerline on Route 528 at the Moraine Bridge in Franklin Township and struck a concrete barrier.Wednesday - Two Kerry-Edwards campaign signs were taken from the Fenelton Road home of Charles and Geraldine Ferrell in Clearfield Township.3:34 p.m. Oct. 3 - A car driven by Rebecca McCracken, no age given, of Prospect struck an embankment on Route 488 near Kurn Road in Muddy Creek Township. McCracken, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.
Sunday - Unknown suspects dragged a car left disabled along Route 3013 near Route 422 in West Franklin Township, Armstrong County and pushed the vehicle over a nearby cliff. Michael Deal of Worthington owns the car, which was found at the bottom of the steep cliff with extensive damage3 p.m. Saturday - Two teenage girls were seriously injured when the all-terrain vehicle they were riding crashed after hitting an embankment along Worthington-Slate Lick Road in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County.Summer Bowser, 15, of Worthington, who was driving the ATV without a helmet, and Tonya Zimmerman, 14, of Kittanning, a passenger who was wearing a helmet, were flown by medical helicopter to an unknown Pittsburgh hospital. Their conditions were not known this morning.
