5:08 p.m. Saturday - Gary McCandless, 45, of 514 Virginia Ave. was arrested for driving under the influence at the Pullman Square parking lot.Police said an intoxilyzer test showed McCandless' blood-alcohol level was 0.292 percent, or more than 3½ times the limit of 0.08 percent considered intoxicated under state law. He was also cited for careless driving.2:33 p.m. Friday - A Butler Township teenager was injured when he rode his bicycle into the side of a pickup truck at East North and North Cedar streets. Zachary Nixon, 14, who was taken with minor injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital, was cited for failing to yield the right of way. William Schiebel, 37, of Butler Township was driving the pickup.

8:25 p.m. Sunday - James Trosky Jr., 42, of Pittsburgh was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Interstate 79 in Franklin Park, Allegheny County.4:05 p.m. Sunday - Robert Marburger Jr., 43, of Renfrew was arrested for assaulting Deborah Marburger, 45, during a domestic dispute at a Plateau Street home in Connoquenessing Township.3:50 p.m. Sunday - Jason Stiles, 28, and Wendy Fanfarilli, 35, were arrested for assault during a domestic dispute at the couple's Brian's Court home at the Lake Arthur Estates trailer park in Muddy Creek Township.12:35 p.m. Sunday - Justin T. Parker, 21, of Parker was arrested after police found a stolen 9 mm pistol in his vehicle during a traffic stop at Route 8 in Center Township. Parker is charged with receiving stolen property and carrying a firearm without a permit.Sunday - Barry Issacson of Slippery Rock reported someone stole his silver and blue, 1989 Dodge Ram pickup truck parked on William Flynn Highway in Slippery Rock Township. The full-size, short bed pickup, taken between 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 5 a.m. Sunday, has the Pennsylvania license plate YNT-8006.Sunday - Police reported charges are pending against a juvenile, whom authorities did not identify, for allegedly taking money last month from the Trinity Lutheran Church on Sunset Drive in Center Township.6:30 p.m. Saturday - Andrew Sefcik, no age given, of Butler was arrested for drunk driving and other charges after he crashed his vehicle on Route 422 in Summit Township.Police said Sefcik's sport utility vehicle struck a concrete barrier on the road and blew out a tire. The defendant, however, continued traveling onto Bonniebrook Road before stopping about one-half mile from Route 68. He is charged with driving under the influence, fleeing or attempting to elude police and reckless driving.2:30 p.m. Saturday - William Kaiser Jr., 16, of Butler lost control of his pickup truck after swerving to avoid a deer on Protzman Road in Summit Township. The pickup flipped onto its roof.8:20 a.m. Saturday - A car driven by Sean Randolph, 27, of Slippery Rock Township struck a vehicle parked on Route 173 in Brady Township. Randolph, who was wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries, said the crash occurred after the sun momentarily blinded him.There was no information about the vehicle he hit.Saturday - A purse containing $128 was reported taken between noon and 8:30 p.m. from a vehicle on East Main Street in Venango Township. Angela Schlagel of West Sunbury owns the purse.10:26 p.m. Friday - Thomas Keaney, 50, of 171 Rolling Valley Lane, Connoquenessing Township, was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 422 in Franklin Township.8:30 p.m. Friday - Vehicles driven by Claudia Gallagher, 48, of West Mifflin, Allegheny County, and Kevin Kellerman, 30, of Butler collided at Dinnerbell and Robinson Run roads in Penn Township. Both drivers, who were wearing seat belts, suffered minor injuries. Gallagher was cited for a left-turn violation.8 p.m. Thursday - Tokin Roy, 25, of Butler faces attempted burglary, theft and criminal mischief charges after allegedly trying to break into the office at the Route 422 Car Wash in Summit Township.2:52 p.m. Wednesday - A Washington Township man was apparently the victim of a scam in which he sent $1,300 to an unidentified person purporting to be a representative of the Canadian Lottery.Wednesday - A wallet containing $50 and credit cards was reported taken between 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and 5 a.m. Wednesday at the Oberlin Drive home of Dennis Graham in Center Township.9:34 p.m. Sept. 3 - Robin Dittmer, 42, of Fenelton was arrested for driving under the influence after her vehicle struck a traffic sign at Carbon Center and Gameland roads in Clearfield Township. Dittmer also was cited for careless driving and accidents involving damage to unattended property.

Aug. 20 - Tina Roher of Volant reported someone stole $1,200 in jewelry she owns while at the Prime Outlets food court in Springfield Township, Mercer County. The theft occurred between 8 p.m. Aug. 19 and noon Aug. 21. No other information was available.
