2:58 p.m. Friday — Robert J. Wienand, 32, no known address, was arrested for allegedly harassing the owners of Then and Again Antiques on North Washington Street.The defendant is accused of returning to the store even after he was advised that he was not welcome there.Officers arrested him after he returned again.Police said they found him with a suspected marijuana pipe.Wienand is charged with stalking, trespass and possession of drug paraphernalia.He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bond.
2 p.m. Sunday — Felony assault charges are pending against two suspects accused in the baseball bat attack of another man at a Main Street home in Fairview.Benjamin Ferringer, 23, of Petrolia and a 1-year-old boy that Ferringer was holding at the time, were injured in the assault; police described the injuries as minor.A police report said the assault occurred over the custody of the infant. Police did not identify the suspects.2:10 a.m. Sunday — Neil Brashear, 26, of Saxonburg was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 228 and Deer Creek Road in Clinton Township.9:58 p.m. Saturday — ANextel cell phone and a pair of reading glasses were reported stolen from a car at the Knoch Road home of Brian Tebay in Clinton Township.8 p.m. Saturday — Asport utility vehicle driven by Charles McElwain, 63, of Rural Valley, Armstrong County struck a deer on Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township.5:15 a.m. Saturday — An unknown burglar or burglars broke into Runt's Road House on North Pike Road in Winfield Township. Police did not immediately disclose if anything was taken.3:30 a.m. Saturday — Mitchell Dunmyre, 19, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Monroe Street and Center Avenue in Butler.2:21 a.m. Saturday — Jeffrey Cuzzo, 31, of Renfrew was arrested for suspicion of DUI after he was found asleep at the wheel of a vehicle on Spithaler Road in Forward Township.2 a.m. Saturday — Amanda Willaman, 28, of Mercer was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Route 8 and Muddy Creek Drive in Brady Township.12:28 a.m. Saturday — Justin Herp, 29, of Butler was arrested after he was found carrying a loaded handgun in his waistband on Bennett Drive in Connoquenessing Township. Police said Herp is charged with carrying a firearm without a permit.8:47 a.m. Friday — An unidentified pickup truck sideswiped a car on the connector between Interstate 79 and the Pennsylvanian Turnpike in Cranberry Township, and did not stop following the crash.Police said the hit-and-run vehicle is described as large, red pickup driven by white man in his 20s with a light beard. The pickup was last seen eastbound on the Turnpike. Donald Daugherty, 32, of Mount Pleasant, Westmoreland County, was driving the car.Friday — A17-inch Toshiba Satellite laptop computer, a gold necklace and $150 were taken in a burglary between 4:30 and 6 p.m. at an apartment at Ivy Apartments in Slippery Rock.Friday — Ablue and white Yamaha PW80 dirt bike was stolen from a barn on Redbud Road in Fairview Township. Charles Brown of Chicora, the owner, reported the theft occurred between 6:30 p.m. Thursday and 6:30 p.m. Friday.Thursday — Someone between 8:30 and 10 p.m. broke into a vacant trailer on Jamison Street in Petrolia. Police reported that nothing was taken.
Friday — A car reported stolen hours earlier in East Brady was found crashed not far away on Cove Run Road near the Armstrong-Clarion County line.The owner of the 1997 Chevrolet Malibu, Melissa Collar, told police the key was in the ignition and the car unlocked when it was stolen Friday night from her Kelly's Way home.Friday — Norman Summerville reported that someone stole a .22-caliber Jennings handgun from a vehicle at his Main Street home in Rimersburg. The gun, taken between May 24 and Friday, is chrome and was in a leather holster.
12:42 p.m. April 20 — Two unknown suspects, described as white males, broke into the Bowl-O-Drome on Route 58 in Pine Township. The burglars ran out of the building as an employee opened up the business and walked inside.
7:09 p.m. Thursday — Bradley J. Eppinger, 20, of Slippery Rock was arrested for fleeing or attempting to elude police and numerous traffic violations following a 4-mile police chase on Studebaker Road in Scott Township.2:10 a.m. May — Jason Ryan Bauder, 27, of Portersville was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 488 in Perry Township.
