5:10 p.m. Saturday — Acar driven by Christopher Losser, 34, of Butler struck a sport utility vehicle parked on West New Castle Street. The crash pushed the SUV, owned by Wendy McWilliams of Butler,into another parked vehicle, owned by Thomas Fix of Butler.
1 a.m. Sunday — Kristine Hiwiller, 37, of Boyers was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her car struck a utility pole along Route 308 near Branchton Road in Cherry Township.Sunday — Rebecca Barkey reported that her purse was taken from her car parked in the driveway of her Simon Lane home in Slippery Rock Township. The theft occurred Saturday or Sunday.9:40 p.m. Saturday — Rochelle Kuzma, 44, of Karns City was arrested for suspicion of DUI after her sport utility vehicle crashed head-on with a pickup truck at Hooker Road and Lou-Lin-Mar Lane in Concord Township.Police said Kuzma and Eugene Codispot, 45, of Lyndora, who was driving the pickup, suffered undisclosed injuries.7:44 a.m. Saturday — Joseph Frye, 25, of Butler was seriously injured when the car he was driving struck a guardrail and then hit a tree and concrete culvert before rolling onto its side along Route 528 in Franklin Township.Police said Frye was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital and later transferred to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Frye's condition was not known this morning.6:15 a.m. Saturday — A truck driven by William L. Watson, 56, of Grove City skidded off ice-covered Browntown Road in Mercer Township and struck two trees. Watson suffered minor injuries.4 a.m. Saturday—Brad Harbison, 36, of Fenelton was arrested for allegedly violating a protection from abuse order on Carbon Center Road in Clearfield Township. Police said Harbison is charged with indirect criminal contempt. He is in the Butler County Jail for violating the PFAorder issued to a 35-year-old Fenelton woman.1:30 a.m. Saturday — Brittany Welsh, 20, of New Castle was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her car struck the rear of another car on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township.Saturday — An unknown burglar broke into a Jefferson Township business and stole a pickup truck and copper mining cable valued at a combined $34,800.Police said the burglary at R.C. Kadyk Corp. occurred between 4 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday. The stolen pickup is described as a silver, 2001 Chevrolet HD2500 Silverado, equipped with a red snowplow on the front. The truck has an extended cab with the Pennsylvania license plate YBP-7774.7:50 p.m. Friday — Avandal or vandals destroyed Christmas lawn ornaments at homes on Green Manor Drive and Headland Road in Summit Township.5:40 p.m. Friday — Adeer ran into the side of a car on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township. Jill Martin, 37, of Butler was driving the car.11:39 a.m. Friday — Acar driven by Thomas Como, 45, of Mercer slid off snow-covered Route 528 Slippery Rock Township and struck a ditch.9:35 a.m. Friday — Acar driven by David Byler, 32, of Eau Claire and a pickup driven by Roger Anderson, 43, of Utica, Venango County, collided at Routes 308 and 58 in Marion Township.7:15 a.m. Friday — Cars driven by a 16-year-old Hilliards boy and Christina McCormick, 41, of Butler collided on Branchton Road in Washington Township. The boy, whom police did not identify, suffered minor injuries. Police said he was cited for driving too fast for conditions.6:45 a.m. Friday — Apickup driven by Harry Fettis, 41, of Tarentum and a car driven by Raymond Claypool, 69, of Butler collided on Route 8 at the Co-Go's store in Middlesex Township. Claypool suffered a minor injury to his nose. Police said Fettis was cited for a left turn violation.1:20 a.m. Friday — Acar driven by Kelly Rieger, 25, of Butler struck an embankment and rolled onto its roof on Route 228 in Middlesex Township. Police said Rieger, who was treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital, was cited for driving too fast for conditions.Thursday — Someone broke into a Harrisville car lot and stole a hunter green, 1997 Cadillac Catera. Police said the burglary occurred overnight at Harrisville Auto Sales.Wednesday — An unknown thief, between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, stole 10-foot aluminum cars ramps from a tractor-trailer at the West Sunbury fire hall parking lot in West Sunbury. Bradley Yates of Slippery Rock owns the Sturdy Lite car ramps valued at $1,400.
11:57 a.m. Thursday — Atruck tractor driven by Daniel Kaylor, no age given, of Clintonville and a dump truck driven by Donald Finefrock, no age given, of Butler collided on Route 208 in Clintonville. Finefrock suffered minor injuries.
6:15 p.m. Friday — Raymond Basham Jr., 26, of Grove City and Pamela Ingram, no age given, of New Castle were caught allegedly shoplifting merchandise at two stores at Prime Outlets in Springfield Township. Police said both suspects are charged with retail theft.
