Friday — Police charged Troy M. Scott, 26, of Butler with threatening three women with a knife during an altercation about 6:25 p.m. March 23 at a home in the 300 block of Mercer Street.
The alleged victims — Shawna Cross, Danielle Thornsbury and Marissa Watson — told police they had gone to the apartment after Charlene Turbett, who lives there, called for help.
She said Scott was upset after they argued over a child visitation issue.
When the three women showed up, police said, the defendant pulled a pocket knife and threatened them. He told them, a police affidavit said, he was “not afraid to stick anyone.”
Scott is charged with three counts each of terroristic threats and simple assault, and a lone count of disorderly conduct.
Friday — Heather S. Coleman, 35, of Butler and a 13-year-old girl were charged in connection with a fight with another woman about 7:10 p.m. March 23 at Rotary Park on West Cunningham Street.
Police suspect Coleman and the girl, who they did not identify, initially got into a mutual fight with Valerie Lorient, 36, of Butler. It lasted a minute or so.
But several minutes later, Coleman and the girl “ganged up” on Lorient and started a second fight.
Both women and the girl suffered minor injuries including scratches on their faces and necks. All three are charged with disorderly conduct.
Additionally, Coleman and the girl are both charged with simple assault
