Rhoads makes history in Rockets' romp

Jence Rhoads scored 25 points Thursday to become Slippery Rock's all-time leading scorer — male or female — in a 62-26 girls basketball triumph over Oil City.

Rhoads, a Vanderbilt University recruit, has 1,948 points, breaking Ben Zajac's school standard of 1,939 and is 16 points away from holding the Butler County career scoring record, held by Joyce Wensel of Union (1,963).

Karly Rhoads had 15 points and Emma Walter had 13 rebounds for the Rockets (12-9, 7-3).
