WPIAL taps Seltzer

as executive director

PITTSBURGH — The WPIAL has named Scott Seltzer as the league’s next Executive Director. The move takes effect July 1.

Seltzer replaces Amy Scheuneman, who will be leaving the position effective June 1. He has been president of the WPIAL Board of Directors for six years while serving on the PIAA Board of Directors at the same time.

Seltzer in in his 12th year as the Assistant Superintendent for School Leadership at Chartiers Valley. He is a former high school principal, football, basketball and baseball coach as well.

gets AMCC honors

ERIE — Allegheny-Clarion Valley graduate Cami McNany, a catcher for Penn State Behrend, has been named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Softball Player of the Week.

McNany hit .500 (7-for-14) with eight RBI and three doubles in four games for the Lions. She is riding a 12-game hitting streak.

honored by PAC

GROVE CITY — Seneca Valley graduate and Grove City College freshman women’s lacrosse goalkeeper Elyse Kiggins has been named Presidents’ Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week in the sport.

Kiggins made 15 saves in a 13-5 win over Thiel. She has 12 wins on the year and leads the PAC with a 7.47 goals-against average.
