BC3 students start fall semester
Butler County Community College's campus was abuzz with activity Monday as the fall semester began.
While some students like freshman Scott Lefever of Slippery Rock and Samuel Pfeifer of Butler, both English majors, took advantage of the weather to study outside Monday morning, other students like second-year student, Isabella Donaldson of Sarver studied inside the library.
But despite the activity, enrollment is down by about 10 percent compared to last August.
As of Aug. 20, 2021, enrollment at BC3 was at 2,070. This is nearly 10 percent down when compared to enrollment figures from Aug. 21, 2021.
BC3 has three more "start dates" this fall. Students can enroll for classes that begin Sept. 20, Sept. 27 and Nov. 1.
