‘Painting in the Park’ scheduledThe Butler County Parks and Recreation Department will offer “Painting in the Park” from 6 to 8 p.m. March 23 at the Alameda Park Office, 184 Alameda Park Road.Participants will paint flowers in buckets. This is an introductory painting class with instructor Sandra Maxwell for participants 14 years old and older.For more information about other classes and fees, and to register, call the Butler County Parks and Recreation Department at 724-284-5383.Scholarship deadline April 12Applications for the Theodore K. Vogeley Memorial Scholarship are available in the Butler High School principal’s office.Applicants must be graduating seniors of Butler High School who have been accepted at an accredited college, university or community college in a transfer program.This four-year scholarship covers tuition, fixed fees, room and board, and books.April 12 is the deadline to return applications.
