Delbert R. Furman
Delbert Russell "Pap" Furman, 88, of Butler passed away Monday afternoon after a lingering illness.
He was born May 12, 1921, in Mount Morris, the son of the late Albert and Susan (Rogers) Furman.
He was a retired private investigator for a large corporation in Youngstown, Ohio.
He loved the outdoors, both hunting and fishing, as well as camping.
He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Surviving are his daughter, Rose Ann Alianach of Eagle River, Alaska; two sons, Stanley Furman of Tionesta and Danny Furman of Renfrew; two brothers, Charles Furman of Mount Morris and Gerald Furman of Transfer; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his late wife, Anna Louise Furman; two sons, William Francis Furman and Russell Allen Furman; numerous brothers and sisters; and several grandchildren.
