Noon Wednesday — An unidentified vehicle struck a car on West Wayne Street and did not stop. The unknown vehicle drove off on Upper Shore Street. Kay McLafferty, 60, of Summit Township was driving the car that was hit.

Saturday — Four people were arrested for driving under the influence during a roving patrol over the St. Patrick's Day weekend.Officers stopped 44 vehicles during the patrol and, in addition to the DUI arrests, cited one person for underage drinking and issued 10 traffic citations and 30 traffic warnings for various violations.

7:05 p.m. Wednesday — Asport utility vehicle driven by Thomas Stewart Jr., 63, of Newell, Washington County, struck the rear of a car stopped for a school bus on Route 8 near Browns Hill Road in Middlesex Township. Stewart was cited for careless driving. John Wokulich, 59, of Valencia was driving the car.1:33 p.m. Monday — Cars driven by Jesse Tarplay, 19, Apollo, Armstrong County, and Abigail Persaud, 24, of Sharon, Mercer County, collided at Route 258 and Fergus Road in Slippery Rock Township. Tarplay was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

10 p.m. Tuesday — Glenn White, 41, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs on Route 422 in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County.Monday — Computers and related equipment as well as a handgun were taken in a pair of daylight burglaries in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County.Police said a pry bar was used between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. to open a rear door at the Livengood Road home of Christie Hika; a rear door was forced open between 7 a.m. and 6:30- p.m. at the Freeport Road home of Peter Kulick.Hika reported a Hewlett-Packard notebook computer, a .38-caliber handgun and a 17-caliber Marlin rife with a Tasco scope were taken. The stolen property is valued at $1,510.Kulick reported a Dell computer tower, Hewlett-Packard printer, four computer speakers and a video game steering wheel were taken from his home. The stolen property is valued at $750.

Tuesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Garry Vasbinder, 50, of Rimersburg crashed on Route 68 near Curlsville Road in Toby Township, Clarion Township. The vehicle rolled onto its roof and then back onto its wheels. Vasbinder, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.
