6:30 p.m. Sunday — Casey Lynn Price, 29, of Butler was charged with simple assault and theft of a motor vehicle after allegedly throwing Melissa Smith, 33, of Butler to the ground several times in a Penn Township residence at 118 Spanish Drive before stealing a vehicle and fleeing the scene. Anyone who has seen Price should call police at 724-284-8100. Smith sustained several lacerations from the incident.11:15 a.m. Sunday — Jason G. Goehring, 32, of Connoquenessing was charged with simple assault and two counts of harassment following an incident involving a 10-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy, both of Butler, at 268 Main St. in Connoquenessing. Goehring was jailed in Butler County Prison on $1,000 bond.Sunday — Someone stole two red 10-speed bicycles from the Clay Township residence of Robert Lowhead, 44, at 546 Beaver Dam Road between 2:30 and 7 a.m. Anyone with information about the theft should call police at 724-284-8100.8:45 p.m. Saturday — Sarah Elyce Archer, 18, of Butler was cited for retail theft after allegedly trying to steal three shirts from the J.C. Penney store in the Clearview Mall, Center Township, by hiding them in her purse.3:34 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Nicole Bennett, 23, of Grove City struck the rear of a car driven by John Kristufek, 66, of Harrisville on Route 8 in Mercer Township. Barbara Kristufek, 71, a passenger in the second car, received minor injuries. Neither driver was injured. All three people were wearing seat belts. Bennett was cited for not driving at safe speeds.2:20 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Keith Bacheler, 18, hit four roadside mailboxes along Ietto Road in Center Township. He was cited for hit and run to unattended property.2 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Peggy Gamble, 49, of East Brady struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Cara Fazzino, 32, of Butler that was making a left turn off Kittanning Pike Road in Fairview Township. Fazzino was taken by ambulance to Armstrong Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Gamble was cited for a summary traffic violation.12:30 a.m. Saturday — Marvin Matthews, 27, of Butler was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on North Duffy Road in Center Township.4:10 p.m. Friday — Someone in a white car fired a BB gun, hitting a picture window at the residence of David Lawson, 49, at 169 Blakely Road in Jefferson Township. Damage is estimated at $150.3:45 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Shirley Keefer, 64, of Chicora and an SUV driven by Verreline Kuhn, 58, of Kittanning collided on Route 38 in Washington Township. The impact caused Keefer's car to hit a parked pickup truck owned by David Gardner of Hilliards in an adjacent parking lot. Keefer was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Keefer received a summary traffic violation.10:37 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by David Albert, 35, of Slippery Rock struck a cement block sitting on Route 528 in Franklin Township. He was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.Sept. 12 — Someone stole most of the aluminum siding off a mobile home owned by Robert Geisler, 62, of McKees Rocks at 601 Hoot Owl Road in Connoquenessing Township between July 12 and Sept. 12.
Sunday — An unknown vehicle struck a Chevrolet Malibu owned by Joann Kubit of Pittsburgh while it was parked in the Prime Outlets parking lot in Springfield Township between 3:45 and 7:15 p.m. Anyone with information should call police at 724-662-6162.5:45 p.m. Sunday — Someone stole a purse from a vehicle owned by Barbara Jean White of Mercer while it was parked at the Taco Bell in Pine Township. Anyone with information about the theft should call police at 724-662-6162.2:30 p.m. Sunday — A pickup truck driven by a male juvenile, age unavailable, struck the rear of a slowing car driven by Joseph Holmes, 50, of Grove City on North Liberty Road in Pine Township. The juvenile driver and his male juvenile passenger received minor injuries. They were not wearing seat belts. Holmes and his passenger, Deborah Holmes, 46, also of Grove City, were wearing seat belts and were not injured. The juvenile driver was cited for not driving at a safe speed.2:05 p.m. Sunday — The left front wheel of a car driven by Rebecca Gould, 25, of Slippery Rock struck a vehicle driven by Jason Wortman, 33, of Rocky River, Ohio, on Interstate 80 in Shenango Township. The impact caused Wortman's vehicle to cross the median and hit an embankment before crossing the highway again and hitting a ditch and a tree. Wortman reported a back injury. No other injuries were reported. Both vehicles' occupants were wearing seat belts.1:15 a.m. Sunday — Micaela Christine May, 21, of Grove City was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 208 in Pine Township.9:15 a.m. Saturday — An SUV driven by a 17-year-old Grove City male failed to make a bend on Route 173 in Wolf Creek Township and left the road before swerving back onto the road and rolling onto its left side. The SUV then slid down the highway and rolled several times before landing on its roof in a field. The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, received an arm injury.9:45 a.m. Sept. 17 — Three juvenile males escaped from George Junior Republic in Pine Township. Two of them were captured a short time later on Arnold Palmer Jr. Drive near Center Church Road, while the third was caught on George Junior Road near McRea Road.
