Planets grind out victory over Rockets, 47-34
Mars' girls basketball team allowed just five points to Slippery Rock in the third quarter, pulling away from the Rockets for a 47-34 win in the championship game of the Slippery Rock Tournament on Saturday.
Vita Vargo and Kaitlyn Pelaia both scored 10 points for Mars while teammate Alexa McDole earned MVP of the tournament.
Bronwyn McCoy led Slippery Rock with 13 points.
