1:08 a.m. Friday — Jill Marie Jancse, 23, of Portersville was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on East Jefferson Street. Jancse was a passenger in the vehicle. Police found three syringes and two metal crack pipes in her purse.2:53 p.m. Tuesday — Sean P. Pell, 26, of Butler was charged with theft after David Huseman, 61, of Butler reported $100 in cash stolen from his locker at the YMCA on North Washington Street. The money was taken while Huseman was using the shower. Pell was identified as being the only person in the locker room at the time. He later admitted stealing the money.

7:45 p.m. Thursday — June Snyder, 42, of Sarver was charged with criminal trespass after entering the Giant Eagle store off Route 356 one day after being arrested for retail theft at the same location.

4:58 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Kelly Howard, 21, of Parker was traveling on Route 268 in Parker, Armstrong County, when it struck a cliff head-on before crossing the highway and hitting a guardrail. Howard, who was not wearing a seat belt, was flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment of abdominal injuries. She was listed in stable condition Friday. Howard was cited for careless driving, driving without insurance and failing to use restraint systems.Wednesday — Ed Gulick of Saxonburg reported the theft of a barrel of about 50 brass fittings and more than 500 pounds of copper wire from his residence at 457 Kepple Road between April 12 and 26.

Thursday — Kevin M. Kline, 34, of Kittanning was charged with aggravated indecent assault in connection with a March 13, 2005, incident at the entrance to Asbury Graphite Mills in North Buffalo Township.7 a.m. Wednesday — Anthony J. Gohn, 18, of Freeport was charged with possession of a weapon on school property and harassment. He allegedly made harassing threats to James Hasley, 18, of Rural Valley at Lenape Vo-Tech Technical School in Ford City, where both men are students, Gohn was found in possession of a 5-inch pocket knife and a 7-inch buck knife on school property.

6:49 April 21 — Catherine E. Varrati, 38, of Ellwood City, Lawrence County, was turning from Lindsay Road onto Route 19 when she lost control of her vehicle during a heavy thunderstorm and collided with the road barrier. Police said Varrati was taken for treatment at Allegheny General Hospital by Harmony EMS.
