5:30 p.m. Monday - An unidentified vehicle struck a car on East Jefferson Street and sped off following the crash. Suzanne Agnello, 47, of Butler, who was driving the car and wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. A 4-year-old Butler boy, a passenger in the car and in a child safety seat, also suffered minor injuries.

6 a.m. July 2 - Paul Whitehouse of Youngblood Road reported someone blew up his mailbox with an explosive device that also caused damage to his home's siding. Damages are estimated at $225.

7:15 a.m. Sunday - Someone overnight broke into Technology Enterprise Group on South Main St. and took two laptop computer and a desktop computer valued at $4,500.9:20 p.m. July - A 16-year-old Harmony boy reported his BMX bicycle was stolen from the bicycle rack at the Zelienople Community Park off East Beaver Street.

9 p.m. Monday - John Penrod, 31, of Butler was injured when he lost control of his motorcycle and it crashed on Route 8 near Summit Drive in Center Township. Penrod, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken with moderate injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital.9 p.m. Sunday - Thomas Pekelnicky, 56, of Harrisville was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Mercer Road in Center Township.2:02 p.m. Sunday - Becky Palamides, no age given, of McMurray, Washington County, swerved her van to avoid another van, driven by James Herrle, no age given, of Pittsburgh, and struck the rear of a minivan on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township. Cynthia Ressler, no age given, of Westmoreland County was driving the minivan.7:55 p.m. Saturday - Trena Rodgers, 40, of Stoneboro, Mercer County, was arrested for driving under the influence following a hit-and-run crash at Branchton and Leonard roads in Washington Township.Police said Rogers' car struck a hold-down cable for a utility pole, and the collision pulled down and sheared off the pole. She drove off but was arrested a short time later.Police, who learned Rogers is wanted out of Texas on a larceny warrant, charged the defendant with DUI and accidents involving damage to unattended property. She is in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $30,000 bond.8:35 p.m. Friday - Nancy Ann Morina, 52, of Lusby, Md., was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 38 near East United Road in Venango Township.Police said Morina was speeding on the road and veered into the opposite lane, narrowly missing two vehicles. Her car struck a stop sign and traveled through a fence before hitting several trees.Morina, who was not wearing a seat belt, was flown by medical helicopter to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Her condition was not known this morning.A passenger in the car, a 10-year-old girl whom police did not identify, was taken to United Community Hospital in Grove City where she was treated for minor injuries and released. The girl was wearing a seat belt.In addition to DUI, Mornia is charged with reckless endangerment and numerous undisclosed traffic violations.Friday - Charles Dreshman, 86, of Sligo, Clarion County, is accused of stalking a 52-year-old woman by repeatedly parking in front of her North Riverview Drive home in Hovey Township, Armstrong County, during the past week. Dreshman is charged with harassment and stalking and a separate count of harassment.June 27 - Kevin Evanchec, 49, of Saxonburg was arrested for driving under the influence after his pickup struck a barn and house along Valencia Road in Forward Township.Police said Evanchec lost control of his pickup while rounding a bend in the road. The truck veered off the road and traveled through a yard, knocking over several small trees. The truck crashed into a barn and went out the other side before becoming airborne and hitting the house. Evanchec was not injured.Police said Evanchec's blood-alcohol level was 0.244 percent, or more than three times the level considered intoxicated for motorists under state law. In addition to DUI, he is charged with driving too fast for conditions and careless driving.
