Santa and Mrs. Claus wave to residents in front of the holiday tree before festivities at the Mars Borough Light Up Night festivities Sunday.

Santa and Mrs. Claus stopped Sunday in Mars for the borough’s light up night festivities and greeted participants at a bench beside the town’s spaceship. The event, originally set for Saturday, was moved Sunday to avoid the rain.

Mars Girl Scouts in the Trefoil Service Unit collected donations as they sang Christmas carols at Dave’s Country Meats in Middlesex Township Saturday and Mars Supermarket in downtown Mars Saturday and Sunday. The money raised will be used to provide Christmas gifts for children in need.
