A group of men allegedly punched a teenage boy in the face and stole his Segway Thursday night during an altercation on Main Street.

City police said the 15-year-old boy was on the hands-free Segway at the intersection of Main Street and West Brady Street at about 7:50 p.m. when three white men, believed to be between 19 and 25 years old, approached him.

The boy told officers the men appeared to be drunk and that he could smell alcohol on them.

Police said one of the men, who was wearing a black shirt and pants, punched the boy in the face, knocking him off his Segway.

The suspects then grabbed the Segway and fled on West Brady Street. The boy ran into Dunkin' Donuts at the corner of the intersection for safety, police said.

The Segway is black with blue LED lights. It was valued at $400.
