8:44 a.m. May 5 — A pickup truck driven by David S. Lattanzio, 52, of Oakland Township and a car driven by Dale L. Hetrick, 61, of Worthington, Armstrong County, collided at West Cunningham and South Washington streets. No one was injured but Hetrick’s car had to be towed.

10:36 p.m. May 6 — A Florida man was arrested for drunken driving in Center Township. The suspect, Derek L. Edenfield, 37, of Old Town, reeked of alcohol after his pickup truck was pulled over on Route 308, according to court documents
A breath test subsequently showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.111 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.
Edenfield was arraigned on a charge of driving under the influence. He is free on $10,000 bail.
May 5 — Raymond G. Oesterling Jr., 47, of Summit Township was charged with driving under the influence stemming from a March traffic stop for speeding in Summit Township.
Police said they stopped Oesterling’s pickup truck about 9 p.m. March 12 after they clocked his pickup truck traveling 71 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 422 near the Jefferson Street on-ramp.
According to court documents, police smelled of a “strong odor” of alcohol coming from the defendant, who also appeared impaired. He was arrested after failing field sobriety tests. A breath test later showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.143 percent.
Osterling is charged with DUI, speeding, careless driving and not wearing a seat belt.
May 1 — Police charged Michael J. Blystone, 52, of New Castle with making a false written statement on a federal form that was required Nov. 10, 2016, when he tried to buy a .30-06 rifle at Logan Gun Gallery in Washington Township.
Blystone is charged with unsworn falsification to authorities.
[naviga:h3]State Police, Kittanning[/naviga:h3]
6:51 p.m. Friday — A 33-year-old Kittanning woman was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422 east near the Graff Bridge in Manor Township. Police did not identify the woman, who also was caught with suspected marijuana and other drug contraband.
Charges are pending lab results, according to a police report.
