Charles “Chuck” Nelson Leith, retired, of Weatherford, Texas, formerly of Butler, went to heaven on Sunday.

Chuck was born in Butler on Feb. 17, 1939, to William “Bill” and Elizabeth Leith.

Chuck was a member of the Weatherford Aero Modeling Club and a past member of the Abundant Life Church in Grapevine and the Bethel Temple in Fort Worth, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Patty Heaton of Florida.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy Leith; son, Col. Charles Scott Leith and his wife, Lynn, of Lorton, Va.; daughters, Laurie Fenton and her husband, Mark, of Cleburne, Texas, and Kris McLaughlin and her husband, George, of Jetersville, Va.; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sisters, Nancy Bonnett of Butler and Sally Beals and her husband, Robert, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
