Mary Elizabeth Ritenour Studebaker, 84, of Worth Township died Friday at 9:01 a.m. at her home.

She was born in Concord Township on Jan. 20, 1928, to Calvin B. Ritenour and Helen L. Carbaugh.

She married Robert Wilson Studebaker on Oct. 18, 1947, and he died Jan. 5, 2010.

She was a member of the West Liberty United Methodist Church. She had enjoyed camping in her earlier years. She also enjoyed cook outs and, mostly, spending time with family and friends.

“She was the best mother and grammy ever and will be missed by everyone.”

She is survived by two sons, Dennis R. (Louise) Studebaker of Greenville and Darwin W. Studebaker of Slippery Rock; one daughter, Charmaine E. “Sherry” Hempfling Ray (Marvin) of Knoxville, Tenn.; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Thomas and Blaine Ritenour; one sister, Doris Ritenour; and one grandson, Mike Kelly.

STUDEBAKER — Visitation for Mary Elizabeth Ritenour Studebaker, who died Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Lewis, pastor of the West Liberty United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in South Plain Grove Cemetery.
