Swartzlander 60th anniversary
Ellsworth and M. Jane Swartzlander of Chicora celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a trip to Disney in Florida and a tour of classic lodges and parks of the West, Mt. Rushmore and Yellowstone National Park with their children.
Swartzlander and the former M. Jane Northime were married June 22, 1953, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, now Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, in Chicora.
They are the parents of Dr. Larry R. Swartzlander of College Park, Md., and Amy J. Rudzki of Butler.
They also have two grandsons.
Swartzlander retired from Modern Transportation Services where he worked in trucking for 40 years. He enjoys restoring older trucks and traveling.
Mrs. Swartzlander retired from the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
The Swartzlanders are members of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicora.
