SLIPPERY ROCK — Seven players scored in double figures Tuesday night as the Slippery Rock University men's basketball team cruised past Ohio University Eastern, 115-75, at Morrow Field House.

Micah Till led The Rock (2-4) with 27 points and 11 rebounds. Vinny Lasley added 13 points and 17 boards. Jared Armstrong scored 20 points in 17 minutes.

Nick Barney scored 12 points, Will Bounds and Nolen Gerald 11 each, and Jason Fowlkes 10.

SRU travels to East Stroudsburg for a 5 p.m. game Monday.

[naviga:h3]KC grad Hegedus shining for Clarion[/naviga:h3]

CLARION — Karns City graduate Emily Hegedus, a freshman on the Clarion University women's basketball team, is off to a solid start for the Golden Eagles.

Hegedus scored a game-high 12 points in a 77-23 win over Penn State-Greater Allegheny, then scored nine points and grabbed nine rebounds in a 64-36 victory over Pitt-Bradford.

WAYNESBURG — Slippery Rock High School graduate Sedona Campbell, a sophomore center for the Grove City College women’s basketball team, scored 16 points in the Wolverines’ 93-52 win at Waynesburg Wednesday night.

Campbell added eight rebounds for Grove City (4-2), which hosts Saint Vincent at 1 p.m. Saturday.
