7:01 p.m. Wednesday - Joseph W. Paul, 31, of Prospect was arrested for driving under the influence at the Wal-Mart parking lot at Butler Commons. Paul was arrested after someone told police they saw him throw a beer can from his parked vehicle.In addition to DUI, Paul is charged with driving with a suspended license and littering.4:27 p.m. Wednesday - Philip Benson, 34, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on Rural Drive. In addition to DUI, Benson is charged with driving with a suspended license.

8:10 p.m. Tuesday - James Paulin of Cranberry Township reported that someone stole a wallet with his identification and $130 cash from the Seneca Valley Field House while he was at high school football practice.Tuesday - Bonnie Gould reported that someone overnight took a 5-gallon water jug filled with about $400 in coins from her Porters Cove home.Monday - Steven Branham, 20, of Aliquippa, Beaver County, was arrested for allegedly trying to steal scrap metal at Cooper Auto Specialists on Evans City Road.Monday - Harmony Oven on Evans City Road sustained about $100 in damage when a would-be burglar smashed out a back window to the building. Nothing was taken from the business in the attempted burglary.8:12 p.m. Sept. 30 - Vehicles driven by Daniel Brizek, 21, of Linesville, Crawford County, and John McKinney, 53, of Evans City collided on Route 19 near Cottman Transmission. Police cited Brizek for speeding.2:26 a.m. Sept. 30 - Richard Lee Weaver, 30, of 126 Schar Lane, Jackson Township was arrested for driving under the influence on Ridge Road. Police said a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were also found in Weaver's vehicle.2:29 p.m. Sept. 29 - Joseph Conroy, 29, 147 Delaware Drive was arrested for driving under the influence following an all-terrain vehicle accident on Schar Lane. The ATV went off the road and struck a road sign. Conroy and an unidentified female passenger were treated for face and head injuries at the scene.12:45 p.m. Sept. 27 - A dump truck driven by Lester Lamarco, 57, of Baden, Beaver County, lost its brakes on the offramp on Interstate 79 at Little Creek Road and struck a guardrail.9:25 a.m. Sept. 25 - Robert Brown reported that someone overnight tried to break into his Gudekunst Road home by prying open a back door.12:35 a.m. Sept. 24 - Douglas Cunzolo of Pittsburgh reported that someone broke into a Porters Cove cottage by breaking the front door. Several small tools were taken.9:28 p.m. Sept. 22 - A vehicle driven by Shannon Hilldenbrand, 19, of Fenelton struck a guardrail on School Road.5:51 p.m. Sept. 22 - Alane Reese reported that someone took a washer and dryer valued at $1,200 from the front of her of Voegtly Lane home. The appliances and other contents were outside as Reese was drying them due to the recent flooding in the neighborhood.2:31 p.m. Sept. 19 - Vehicles driven by James Edinger, 19, of 180 Heather Drive and Alex Joseph Edrons, no age given, of 119 Lindhurst Drive collided on Lindsay Road8:37 p.m. Sept. 18 - A vehicle driven by James Randall Schaeffer, 31, of 313 Garing Lane, Jackson Township, crossed the center lane on Evans City Road and struck a vehicle driven by William Summers Jr., no age given, of Gibsonia, Allegheny County.Schaeffer had face and head injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. He later received two traffic citations for not wearing a seat belt and crossing the center lane of the road.7:05 a.m. Sept. 17 - Felicia Rape, 16, of Cranberry Township was making a turn from Route 528 onto Jo Deener Road where she lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree. She was treated for head, chest and back injuries at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.1:02 a.m. Sept. 17 - Kristia Peffer, 37, of 403 Hazel St., Zelienople was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop on Toll Gate Road.9:45 p.m. Sept. 16 - A vehicle driven by Stephanie Nocera, no age given, of Jackson Township struck a tree along Hartmann Road near the golf course. She told police the crash occurred after she swerved her vehicle to avoid a deer on the road.

5:30 a.m. Thursday - A car driven by Melissa Hass, 29, of Slippery Rock struck an embankment and flipped onto its roof on Branchton Road in Slippery Rock Township.Haas, who was wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries, told police the crash occurred after she swerved her car to avoid a raccoon on the road.2:05 a.m. Thursday - A car driven by Robert Boudreau, 36, of Mars struck a deer on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.Thursday - An unidentified vehicle between 8:15 a.m. and 4:10 p.m. struck a sport utility vehicle parked at a Marwood Road home in Winfield Township and did not stop following the crash.10 p.m. Sept. 10 - A motorcycle driven by Matthew Welsh, 19, of Saxonburg crashed into a ditch along Brown Mill Road in Forward Township. Welsh, who was wearing a helmet, was treated for minor injuries at UPMC Passavant Cranberry.2 a.m. Sept. 4 - A car driven by Samuel Sudia-Boivin, 20, of Pittsburgh struck the rear of an unidentified pickup truck on Harmony Road at Browntown Road in Mercer Township. The unknown driver of the black, full-size pickup drove off after the crash.

5:05 p.m. Wednesday - A fugitive wanted by New York authorities was captured after being stopped for speeding on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township, Mercer County.Stanley Griffiths, 46, of the Bronx, N.Y., and a Jamaican national, who uses at least two aliases, was also found to be in the country illegally. He was arraigned on a fugitive from justice charge.Griffiths remains in the Mercer County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bond, while awaiting extradition to New York.
