Christ Community U.M.The Youth of Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, Butler Township, will gather at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church to begin preparations for the Valentine Dinner. Dinner will be served from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in Oz Hall. A movie will follow at 8:15 p.m. in the sanctuary. Child care will be available by donation. Tickets are available from youth group members or by contacting the church office. Cost is $7.50 per person.New members will be received into the congregation during weekend worship services. A luncheon for new members and their sponsors will begin at noon Sunday.Youth planning to attend the Conference Spring Youth Rally March 17 and 18 at Jumonville must submit the $20 non-refundable registration fee by Sunday.Come and Get It will gather from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday to celebrate Fat Tuesday. A Mardi Gras parade with bicycles, wheelbarrows and wagons decorated as floats will follow in Oz Hall. Members should take donations of school and health supplies to fill floats, which will support the youth group's mission trip to South Dakota."The Jesus I Never Knew" 14-week Bible study and discussion group will begin Feb. 22. Christ's OutreachCommunion will be celebrated during both services this weekend at Christ's Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave., Butler.A Work and Witness trip is planned to the Sun Valley Indian School in Arizona this fall. An informational planning meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Monday.

Community LifeCommunity Life Church, McQuistion Elementary School, will begin a new midweek class, "Getting a Grip on the Basics," at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at the YWCA, 120 W. Cunningham St.

Covenant PresbyA Shrove Tuesday pancake supper and silent auction will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Fellowship Hall at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St.Covenant and Saint Andrews Presbyterian churches will present a six-week Lenten Bible study beginning Wednesday. Classes are based on the book "Hallelujah: The Bible and Handel's Messiah," and will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28 and March 7, 14, 21 and 28.The Rev. Fred Young will lead the Seekers Class on Sunday. He will speak on the subject of "Listening Skills: Applications for Daily Living and Prayer Life." Mt.
