CRANBERRY TWP — The American Cancer Society will host a Look Good Feel Better program from 10 a.m. to noon June 5 at the Cranberry Township Municipal Building, 2525 Rochester Road.

Volunteer beauty professionals will teach women with cancer how to deal with some of the side effects of cancer treatment.

PENN TWP — A chicken barbecue will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of Kelly Chevrolet, Route 8.Proceeds from the event will benefit the Freedom Celebration to be held July 4 at Butler Memorial Park.

ADAMS TWP — A Kate's Crew Family Mini-Putt Golf Outing and Benefit will be held at 4 p.m. June 7 at the Mars-Bethel Golf Course, Route 228.The family event will include a 9-hole pitch and putt, an 18-hole miniature golf course and use of the driving range. Food and drinks will be available for free.Cost is $30 per family of up to two adults and their children. MUDDY CREEK TWP — The annual North Country Bluegrass Benefit Concert will be held from noon to 7 p.m. May 27 at the amphitheater at Moraine State Park, North Shore.The show, featuring music from Western Pennsylvania bluegrass bands, will benefit the Moraine/McConnells Mill/Jennings (M3J) Conservancy and the North Country Music Association.The event will begin with a dedication to veterans. Music will begin at 1 p.m.Admission is free, and donations will be accepted.

EAST BRADY — The East Brady Area Development Corporation has announced that the annual Attics and Cellars garage sale day will begin at 8 a.m. May 26 in the East Brady area.Notices, in writing, of festivals, fundraising events, newly elected officers and other news from clubs and nonprofit groups should be sent to the Focus department one week in advance of the event.
