12:51 p.m. Tuesday — Nicole Baumbach, 34, of Lyndora was possibly hurt when her car was rear-ended by another vehicle on New Castle Road at Barracks Road. She was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital to be evaluated.
The other driver, Scott A. Arigo, 34, of Butler, was not hurt but his vehicle had to be towed. Police cited him for careless driving.
11:50 a.m. Monday — No one was seriously injured in a four-vehicle accident in the Butler Memorial Hospital parking lot. The accident happened when vehicles driven by Wilma Crispin, 72, of Butler and Bernadette Brockman, 72, of Fenelton collided.
Following the collision, police said, Brockman’s car hit a tree, which fell onto two parked vehicles. One parked vehicle sustained moderate damage and the other had minor damage.
According to a police report, Brockman was evaluated at the hospital for any injury in the accident.

7:48 p.m. Oct. 10 — Michael Chelko, 59, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his wife during a domestic dispute at their home on Beale Road.
The victim told police that Chelko grabbed her by the throat and pushed her around the house. She said the defendant had been drinking all evening.
Chelko was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and released on his own recognizance.
[naviga:h3]Middlesex Twp Police[/naviga:h3]
Oct. 15 — Michele Ann Scott, 37, of Cabot was charged with drugged driving on Route 228 west stemming from an erratic driver call last month. Police said they found her about 5 p.m. Sept. 17 after her sport utility vehicle struck a guardrail on an area of the road known as Ball’s Bend.
Scott appeared impaired and told police that she had taken two oxycodone tablets that day, according to court documents. She said she is prescribed the medication. She denied having consumed alcohol.
Police said Scott subsequently failed field sobriety testing. She submitted to a portable breath test device that indicated she had no alcohol in her system.
She was arrested and taken to UPMC Passavant hospital in Cranberry Township for a blood test, which she refused to take, according to court documents.
Scott is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, careless driving, disregarding traffic lanes and two lane violations.
[naviga:h3]Saxonburg Police[/naviga:h3]
7:58 p.m. Oct. 11 — Mary Ann Valasek, 69, of Kittanning was arrested for driving under the influence on South Rebecca Street. Police said they stopped her after first noticing that she did not have her headlights on while traveling on West Main and Pittsburgh streets.
Valasek admitted that she had consumed “a couple” of glasses of wine at a local restaurant and was headed home, according to court documents. She showed impairment during field sobriety testing and was taken to the Butler police station for a breath test.
The test showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.083 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.
In addition to DUI, Valasek is charged with a lighting violation, careless driving and a stop sign violation.
[naviga:h3]State Police, Butler[/naviga:h3]
Tuesday — Police reported that they have charged a juvenile, who they did not identify, with having an unspecified weapon Oct. 12 at Slippery Rock Middle School. The youth is charged with possession of a weapon on school property.
A police news release provided no other information about the incident. Slippery Rock School District Superintendent Alfonso Angelucci declined to comment Tuesday.
Tuesday — Four Butler County teenagers were cited for underage drinking in connection with an incident last month in Venango Township.
Troopers found the teens while assisting in another police incident. Cited was a 19-year-old Hilliards man, an 18-year-old Butler man, a 17-year-old Boyers girl and a 14-year-old West Sunbury girl.
7:15 p.m. Monday — A pickup truck driven by Brian D. Nordquist, 48, of Parker Township struck a deer on Route 8 just north of Kiester Road in Slippery Rock Township. He was not injured but his truck sustained moderate damage and had to be towed.
Friday — Scott R. Shearer, 54, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted a family member, a 25-year-old man, during a domestic dispute at his home on Cornplanter Road in Winfield Township.
The two men reportedly got into an argument that escalated into a physical altercation, police said. While wrestling and on the floor, according to court documents. Shearer is accused of punching the victim in the face
The younger man suffered a black eye and other facial injuries.
Shearer was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and released on his own recognizance.
Oct. 15 — Police charged Nicolas Lee Reich, 21, with having marijuana and other drug contraband while responding for a domestic call earlier this month at his home in Jefferson Township.
According to court documents, Reich bit his 18-year-old brother during the incident about 10:50 p.m. Oct. 6 at their home on Freeport Road. Police said they found the defendant hiding in the loft of the garage at the house. They also found him with suspected marijuana and a marijuana pipe.
Reich is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and harassment.
