College Notes

JAKE PATTON (Moniteau) ran a leg of Westminster’s winning 4x400 meter men’s relay at the Westminster Invitational. He also placed second in the 400 meters and ninth in the javelin.

JACK ANDERSON (Mars) tripled, scored a run and hit a sacrifice fly in Pitt’s 13-3 baseball victory over Boston College.

TEDDI ISHERWOOD (Butler) teamed with Gabriela del Val del Toro to win a doubles match over Goldey-Beacom, also scored a 6-4, 6-4 singles win over Elin Anderson in Slippery Rock’s 6-1 women’s tennis win.

STEPHANIE CIMINI (Mars) scored a season-high six goals in Westminster’s 19-15 women’s lacrosse loss to Saint Vincent.

JAMES PARENTI (Moniteau) placed second in the shot put for Grove City at the Westminster Invitational with a toss of 43 feet, 1.75 inches.

LOGAN PISTORIUS (Karns City) carded an 80 to lead Thiel’s men’s golf team, which tied for third at the Thiel Spring Invitational.

JOCELYN McNANY (Seneca Valley) and CAMI McNANY (Allegheny-Clarion Valley) had two hits each in Penn State Behrend’s 4-3, 3-2 softball doubleheader loss to Medaille. Jocelyn had two hits in the first game, Cami the second.

ASHLEIGH SCHMIDT (Freeport) struck out a season-best 11 for Behrend in the first-game loss. She pitched all seven innings.

RYAN GREER (Seneca Valley) scored a season-high four goals in Westminster’s 17-6 men’s lacrosse win over Washington & Jefferson.

CODY SCHNUR (Butler) had 16 kills on 31 attempts and added two block assists as Penn State Behrend’s men’s volleyball team won the AMCC Championship, defeating Geneva 3-1 in the title game. Behrend is 22-7 on the season.

BAILEY ROYHAB (Seneca Valley) won the 10,000 meters by 44 seconds for Clarion at the Elliston Earlybird Invitational.

GABBY KUTCHMA (Butler) placed third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase for Clarion, running a PSAC qualifying time of 12 minutes, 5.75 seconds.

LEXI CHAPPEL (Butler) won her match at No. 1 singles for Grove City’s women’s tennis team, defeating Kendra Sines of Mount Aloysius 6-2, 6-3. The Wolverines won the team match, 9-0.
