The Butler Transit Authority will not operate its bus service Thursday in observance of Thanksgiving. Service will resume on Friday.

For Christmas, the authority will once again conduct its Stuff the Santa Bus drive for toys and clothes for children during the annual Spirit of Christmas parade Saturday in downtown Butler.

The authority’s trolley bus will be parked at the People’s Building on Main Street from noon to 3 p.m. People can donate unwrapped new toys, clothes in sizes 5 to 14 and nonperishable food, which will be turned over to the Salvation Army.

On Sunday, the bus will be parked at the Clearview Mall from 1 to 5 p.m. to accept donations.
